About the Author
Introduction
This book is not another teaching guide, but a tool designed to complement information you know or will gain over the course of your military career. I believe that the strategies I used while serving in the ranks of Airman Basic through Chief Master Sergeant coupled with your drive to succeed has the potential to maximize your experiences.
So, why am I writing this book? I have walked down the path you are on and I want to offer practical strategies to help you maximize your military career. The chapters in this book are written to reflect an Airman’s advancement from the lowest to the highest military enlisted rank. While serving in uniform and now as a Veteran, the highlight of my day often includes assisting others with maximizing their talents by providing them with words of advice, a listening ear, or resources to enhance their well-being. I assume you picked this book up because you are looking to be the best person you can be at every stage of your career. I hope this book helps you to achieve that goal. I wish you the success you seek throughout your journey.
Finally, I dedicate this book to the men and women in the active and reserve components of the Army, Marines, Navy, Air Force, and Coast Guard, as well as the Army and Air National Guard for their commitment, selfless service, dedication, courage, and sacrifice.
