    Introduction

Emotions are something we all share in common as humans. They are a function to help you inhabit your own life and the world. Happiness, sadness, anger, surprise, disgust and fear are just a few out of many emotions we have. We are emotional beings and express ourselves based on our emotions in ways that can unite us, such as conveying happiness through a smile or frustration with a frown. Emotions are also very important within our daily activities. In this book, the capabilities or extensions of emotions are seen as the assortment of feelings which are controlled and triggered by the emotions; that is, the emotions are the panel that controls the feelings. A feeling is a way of giving yourself a state of being—for example, happy, sad, or even a bunch of feelings mixed together. Without feelings, you could only analyze. For example, without compassion, if someone stole your money you would analytically determine that it was best to get your money back, and even if you found out it was a woman trying to feed her kids you would still just want your money. We must know how others feel because that can determine how we react to those others. Humans can base their decisions off emotions and determine if they will do something, for example if they will like a person or not. What sparks your emotions to feel a certain way? We smile when happy; we frown when upset; we look confused about what we don’t understand. According to Aleix Martinez, an associate professor of electrical and computer engineering at Ohio State University, there are 21 different facial expressions—a huge jump from the six emotions traditionally recognized (happy, sad, fearful, angry, disgusted and surprised).

Aside from facial and body gestures, emotions can also be expressed with hand signs. Humans have an instinctive way of expressing themselves with hand signs, which could in fact be the first sign language. You were born to express yourself and share how you feel with others. It brings humanity closer together when we can observe and feel our own emotions and those of others.

This book discusses faces that appeared on a wall, seen by the author and his associates, and how they and the emotional messages they convey can be expressed through human behavior. They are believed to be from the spiritual world, a higher life within an encompassing energy. Each face matches one of the five major races: Khoisan, Black African, East Asian/Native American/Pacific Islander, Caucasian, and Aboriginal Australian. These faces are believed to be different human spirits that we can communicate or express through emotional hand signs. The author’s 10 years of work exploring and understanding these hand signs has led to the knowledge gathered here. There are
