Dedication
Marjorie Wilson
Matriarch of the Wilson Family
y mother is the source of my inspiration for this anthology
dedicated to honoring women from all walks of life. She has always been there to support the family — the glue that has held us together regardless of any adversity. She helped my father put five children through college, Carla Wilson, Michelle Wilson, Marjorie Wilson, Jermaine Wilson
and me.
As a result of my mother’s undying devotion to her family, all of her children are successful. My mother has been the pillar of our family and the guiding force behind all of her children’s success. She is loved unconditionally.
My mother has always been a provider, a wonderful example for her daughters and a devoted wife who stood by my father, Pastor Carl Dean Wilson Sr., during 47 years of their marriage. Unfortunately, my father passed away in May 30, 2011. She celebrated my father’s passing and although she misses him, she has always stayed strong for her children. Today, she’s still going to church, serving God, and standing strong by her legacy.
She’s the source of my inspiration to honor and celebrate women around the world for their business success and contributions to society as humanitarians, philanthropists and community leaders. My mother,
Marjorie Wilson rocks!

Acknowledgments
y first book has been such a special journey and I want to make sure
I acknowledge those who have supported my vision and success.
I would be amiss if I did not mention my amazing and loving mother, Marjorie Wilson, who had the most direct impact and influence in my life. Thanks to her dedication and love for her family, I have become the man that I am today and I am proud to be her son. She has been the driving force behind my career and my business. Honoring her in my journey is my number one priority. I am truly grateful to her and love her wholeheartedly. My father, Carl Dean Wilson, Sr., may he rest in peace, was the greatest example in my life and I will always be forever grateful and cherish his memory.
This book is in remembrance of a family friend, Ardus Naone Godfrey, may she rest in peace. She was a graduate of The Juilliard School in New York, formerly known as The Juilliard Conservatory of Music and Performance, and an accomplished pianist. Ardus was the mother of four children and a shining light in her community. She served wherever possible through her religious and musical activities.
A few special friends who have had a major impact in my life include: Robbie Motter, Charlotte Cephas, Robert Shepherd, Frankie Parker, Angelisa Osorio and Mattie Smith. I would also like to thank Lupita Estrada, Etta May Endo and Britney Wilson. Their influence in my life has been a major part of my success, and the support they have given me has made it possible to celebrate women in a profound way.
To my amazing siblings, Michelle Wilson, Jermaine Wilson, Carla Wilson and Marjorie Wilson, I would like to extend a special thank you for the memories and also to my son, Carl Dean Wilson III, for always standing by me. I am blessed beyond measure to have such an incredible family and I love you all dearly.
I am very grateful to Pattie Godfrey Sadler, my publisher, and her staff with New Life Clarity Publishing; Virginia Earl, my editor, for her expertise and her dedication to the completion of my first book; Mercedita Mercy
Noland for her business advice; and Robbie Motter, President of Global Society for Female Entrepreneurs (GFSE), for her assistance in coordinating the marketing efforts. Thank you to all of you for your dedication and concerted efforts.
To all the inspiring women who have coauthored this anthology, thank you for standing as a guiding light for other women and sharing your life-changing experiences. I am profoundly grateful to all of you. A big thank you to Barbara A. Berg, Virginia Earl, Diane Halfman, Olympia Hostler, Nadine Lajoie, Robbie Motter, Mercedita Mercy
Noland, Lori Raupe, Sharron Stroud, Joan E. Wakeland and Violet Williams. I honor and celebrate you!

Chapter 1
The All Women Rock
Tradition
by Carl Dean Wilson Jr.
aving always been a customer service type of guy, transitioning
from a small town in Louisiana to a big state like California was a shocker for me. The big city life of the Los Angeles area was so different from that life I had already experienced. I had no choice but to take it by the reigns and learn a new way of doing business.
After 30 years of living here, I would not trade the experience for anything else. It has been enriching in so many ways to my success. The greatest opportunity that I created was to start a platform of All Women Rock Conference.
The first conference was launched on October 14, 2018. At that time there were 55 successful women business leaders who received awards from my company. Their awards were presented for their outstanding business ethics, humanitarianism and community involvement. This began a tradition of honoring women, from all walks of life, who had achieved success in many categories. To say the least, it was life changing for many.
The All Women Rock Platform is for the celebration of women. They are recognized and awarded for their efforts. It is an opportunity for women to also honor other women as nominations are part of the selection process. As we have moved forward in time, we were thrilled to present the All Women Rock 2019 Conference
in Costa Mesa, California, at the Center Club. Continuing this tradition brings opportunities nationally for women to be recognized as we celebrate All Women Rock 2020.
Chapter 2
It’s All About Showing Up &
the Power Is in the Asking
by Robbie Motter
‘ve had an amazing career in Corporate America as an entrepreneur, and over the years I’ve learned much to enhance my leadership skills, but the greatest gifts to me include the work that I’ve done to help others soar
to greatness.
Seeing their success is so wonderful. I am blessed as I see things in people that they don’t see in themselves. So I become their cheerleader and push them to do those things. It never fails! Once they achieve them, they say to me, How did you know I could do that?
And I say, I just knew.
I have encouraged women to write their book, not just talk about it. I
