To my dear late brother Thomas Henratty. Born July 19, 1965; deceased October 19, 1966. You made it fifteen months on this planet before God called you home. I thank you for enduring and fulfilling your destiny. I am convinced that if you had not died, I would not have been born. If you lived, our parents may not have wanted a third child. So, I thank you for taking one for the team for me.

I tell you brother; it has not been easy being here. There are a lot of temptations and tribulations to deal with. And then there are just plain depression and self-doubt. There are so many different things to cope with on this earth: the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life are enough to make a man crumble. You are better off where you are now, with God.

I tell you brother, if it wasn’t for Jesus saving a wretch like me, I would not be here now to tell my story. So, the next time you see Him, tell Jesus thank you for me, and I am doing my best to keep his commands. Till we see each other in His Kingdom, I love you, bye for now.
