My name is Peter Morgan, I'm 45 and single again, after almost 15 years of marriage. I work full-time as an office manager, but I'm a keen amateur photographer and I like to write too. I'll be posting some photo's here and also sharing some of my memoirs. Dating is a vastly different prospect now, compared to what it was in the late 80s/early 90s and I'm using a lot of my experiences in my stories. Drop by, take a look, say hi!

The 5-Day Missionary - Peter Morgan
Preface
This book provides resources that support the long-term work of the permanent missionary, including a blueprint for the five-day mission trip. Such a trip can give you the chance to discover what encourages missionaries. You can learn from them, and uncover their work and their world. Perhaps God would have you interface with one of these global servants, or join their missions, or utilize your skills and teachings in a new framework.
It may be that God is calling you to this work. If a mission trip is your next big step, you will have to trust him for the means to make it materialize. God wants us to move in faith. By engaging the unknown on a mission trip, many learn how to better walk with God day by day and moment by moment.
I have made it easy for you to take a journey of personal spiritual growth through the information in this book and through the organization I founded, Mission Life International. God has provided us with a major directive and great commandment. God’s great mission for man is to make disciples of all nations. Jesus leads us out as the Father sent him, by his grace and for his magnificence. We are made for displaying and sharing God’s love with others. Let’s not keep the good news of the Bible to ourselves. It is good to walk with God’s international servants.
As most mission trip participants report, you may receive more than you give; it is so common that it has almost become a cliché. While it may sound selfish to take a mission trip solely for what you can get out of it, these trips don’t ever work that way. You serve, and by your service you are rewarded tenfold. Many find this journey of personal faith and growth to be life-changing. The German philosopher Martin Buber said it well: All journeys have secret destinations of which the traveler is unaware.
If God is poking you to be part of a mission team, it is likely that he has something he wants to do in your life through this experience. The world needs more missionaries, even those who go for only a short time. The world needs the five-day missionary. We need more people who are willing to leave behind their luxuries, comforts, and daily activities. We need you to serve the poor and vulnerable. We need you to share the message of the Bible. God wants us to listen to those who have no voice and to learn from God’s international church.
If God is nudging you to go, look to him to overcome the opposition and obstacles you may face. Your service can encourage others to celebrate God for what he is doing in your life and to pursue their own God-given purposes. If you are willing to go, others may be able to picture themselves going, too. This is the gospel of love, the work that Jesus Christ fulfilled.
Mother Teresa understood fully this gospel of love. She gave the world a whole new vision of what being a Christian means. She taught us that it is more blessed to give than to receive. Her faith gave her an energy and a radiance that is unforgettable. Mother Teresa is a unique example of genuine holiness. Ordinary people around the world have been inspired by her unwavering trust in God, her absolute commitment to the poor, and the strength of her love of humanity. The utter sincerity with which she lived out her faith gave her an energy and radiance that is unforgettable. Her vision will live on in all of us who are touched by her example. Is Mother Teresa touching you?
So many have been led by the light of love. This is the great work, in the church of love, that you will engage in when you go on a mission. You can change the world by touching lives. You can also motivate your church and community to become involved in helping the poor. You can move many men and women in every area of life. This is what will occur when you lead by the light of your love. You will be the radiant example for your friends and family. You will be a flame of charity. Your benevolence will keep countless thousands alive. All human life is sacred. It demands our respect and concern.
Our helping hands know no bounds. May you find the inspiration and the method of how to put your hands to work by walking your talk by becoming a five-day missionary.
