About this ebook
My book tells you mainly what Neil Diamond told me, never give up. The proof of this is in The Bible, and I sure found this out whilst living in America for 8 years or more. Most Americans have a good sense of positivity, even when things go dreadfully wrong? I had never seen this before, well not to this high extent. This changed me i

As a young teenager living and working on my parent's farm I started writing about the animals and Welsh Rugby! Then I extended my writing to people's lives etc and looking at my own in the process. For month's family and friends tried to persuade me to forget it, and I suppose that's exactly what I was going to do. Then in May 1978 I had a letter from Neil Diamond (forgetting that I'd sent a letter to him 7 - 8 months before!) In his letter it said "hold onto your own sensitivies" And after that no one was going to stop me, with their words like "what do you want to do that for?" or "oh not another poem". Then when I met my husband he was very positive too. That was my way forward.

Lead Us Lord Gently Lead Us
Our Heavenly Father
God, let all the heavens come down to earth,
And all my passions see,
That through the pains of giving birth,
We have children of destiny.
Let all nationalities and all the races,
All kinds of people with all kinds of faces,
Look up to our ‘King’ our heavenly Lord,
The only King to keep His word.
A ‘King’ who died for us to live,
Who forgave our sins – yet still forgives!
Who will, if asked, give a helping hand,
And also teach you to understand,
Who will give you gifts of speech and sight,
And also turn darkness into light,
Who will never lead you onto the path of fear,
Only ‘if’ you want to be there.
Who in all His greatness and all His power,
Won’t even let ‘friendship’ go sour.
Yes with His word He gives up hope,
He even helps all old folk.
Yes! We can laugh at others,
Who seem to preach His word.
Yes, we can laugh at our brothers,
But HE will never be ignored.
He will watch us from the heavens,
He will watch us from above,
But we will never see the Devil,
If we give Christ all our love.
Love is so very precious –
We’ve got it, so we can give,
Our love and our life, which is special,
If we really want to relive –
Our lives again in heaven,
And have a wonderful life,
No hate, no harm, no helplessness –
No nothing – not even strife!
Image4064.jpgYouth, Age & Time
When we were babies time flew so fast,
Yet when we got older it just didn’t last!
When we were around 8, 9 or 10,
Time went so slow for us and our friends,
Though when we were in our late teens,
We were waiting to leave school and were all very keen.
Then we wanted to pass a driving test,
And go to University was our quest,
Whilst in our 20’s we then got a job,
Just to make a couple of bob!
When in our 30’s time seemed to fly,
Day by day it just passed us by,
And the older one gets the quicker it goes,
Yet when we were young it seemed to go slow,
So we shall have to make the most of our days,
Otherwise it will just fade away!
Just Do It!
It’s amazing how we go through life,
Questioning ourselves every hour,
Shall I do this or shan’t I?
It’s a question that may turn quite sour!
"I really wish I did well in that exam,
What was I thinking of then?
Now I have to sit it all out,
And do it all over again!"
Most people don’t ever want,
To get out of their comfort zone,
It’s the fear inside of them,
Of being left all alone.
What will happen if I do this?
The dangers around are immense,
Perhaps it’s better not to do it,
Now perhaps I’m thinking common sense!
No nothing is going to happen,
And yet I am quite afraid?
Why am I so frightened?
As if I’d been betrayed?
But how many times have you tried?
And tried and tried in vain,
Don’t make this be the last time,
Of never trying again.
If you are given a second chance,
To revive yourself from strain,
Work yourself on forward,
Since the answer’s simple and plain.
Whatever you wish to do,
Will be yours if you truly believe,
Believe that you can do it,
Then stop being so naive.
It is a simple story,
Though not a simple life,
Of being far more positive,
When you go through all that strife.
We all know that it will happen,
So you’ve got to smile when things get rough,
‘Take the bull by the horns’
Until you become extra tough.
Eventually you will get there,
Wherever you wish to go?
Following in the Lords footsteps,
Will help you so much you know?
For if you question yourself too many times,
Then nothing will turn out right,
Because you don’t believe in yourself,
And your aim has gone well out of sight!
So post a mark and say I’ll get there
,
Whatever everyone
