Introduction
The prayers and comments written on the pages that follow express my own personal questions for, and thoughts about, the GOD in whom I believe.
I have two specific reasons for writing this book. First, I need to finally admit to someone that I have always had a lot of silly spiritual thought rattling around in my head at any given time. (I’m sure GOD knows this already.) And secondly, I want to interject a little humor into my otherwise somber relationship with GOD.
You see, in my struggle to grow spiritually, my seriousness has not allowed me to notice many of life’s fleeting and funny moments…
GOD, however, created the silly side of life, right? I just hope I can learn to appreciate these moments… before they disappear forever…

Dedication
This work is dedicated to my daughter, Jenna, who reminds me each day to live in the present moment;
To my brother, Ralph, whose laugh inspires me;
To Stanton, who delightfully laughs at his own jokes;
To my dear friends, Linda, Ellen, and Jane, who are always there for me;
And finally, to my editor and my publisher, who have created space for my silly books.

Mixed Up Behavior
Please Clarify, GOD,
It should be easy to tell the difference between
good behavior and bad behavior,
or between right decisions and wrong ones.
It should be, but not for me.
You see, I might do the right thing
for the wrong reason,
or even the wrong thing for the right reason.
There are all kinds of combinations of the above, making it impossible for me to know whether
I am a good person, or a bad person,
or a bad person doing good,
or a good person doing bad…
