    Foreword from the poet . . .

    Pickled Poems . . . the name made me smile wickedly;

    I hope it makes you smile too.

    I like to study people, everyone has a story. I hope I have captured a few unique slices of life here.

    I have written several articles in my favourite magazines about people I have met. I call myself a Community Writer.

    This led me to compile a book of short stories, Yours, Mine, Ours, in 2019 to reach out near and far in the hope that troubled people in the community would benefit.

    After connecting with the Bayside Writers’ Group not long ago I can say I have contributed to two anthologies of Poets’ Corner – 2019 & 2020 – and this book is a sample of my written thoughts on paper which have risen to the top of quite a pickled pile.

    A quote by fellow writer, Peter Levy, inspired me a lot to complete this task. ‘It’s not enough to write for yourself, one’s words should be published for all to benefit from.’
