    Foreword.

Everyone's pain is different. We feel it at different times, intensities, and orders. But at its core, pain is pain. I want anyone experiencing any kind of pain, disappointment, sadness, or suffering to read this. If one sentence can ease your process of healing, I think you should give this a read. I will try my best to cover all aspects of suffering. I understand that some of it has a direct cause, and most of it can be due to unfortunate circumstances, but either way, this process can help with the troubles that life can bring. The first thing I want to do is start you off with this simple but profound quote by Lance Armstrong.

Pain is temporary. It may last a minute, or an hour, or a day, or a year, but eventually it will subside and something else will take its place. If I quit, however, it lasts forever. That surrender, even the smallest act of giving up, stays with me. So when I feel like quitting, I ask myself, which would I rather live with?

    Lance Armstrong

This quote is profound all the way through, but let’s focus specifically on the question he asks at the end. Which would you rather live with?. At first, I thought the question was directed at the pain of quitting or pain itself.  In other words, Would you rather quit or be in pain?. Now I realize that he was referring to pain or that something else. The something else we all want to reach or achieve. The something else that holds risks that often outweigh the rewards. Right now, I want you to imagine what your something else is.  More specifically, what do you want to take the place of your pain? Keep that in mind for the duration of this book.

Next, let’s address the word heal. The word heal is a verb that means To make sound or healthy again.. For the word heal to be a verb, action has to take place. For the process of healing to begin, we must proceed with the action of allowing ourselves to heal. We cannot heal if we do not take the necessary steps to end our suffering and start a healthy recovery. Luckily for you, opening this book means you were either interested or already opened yourself up to the idea of healing, but before we dive into the process itself, let me explain what causes one to suffer.

    Before the fall.

Our anxiety intensifies heartbreak. Our heartbreak causes pain. Our pain spirals into depression, and in the end, we suffer all
