In some ways Lady Arabella (Belle) Summoner is a perfect woman, bidable, well-connected and beautiful, but she needs an understanding husband and help with the world if she is to survive. Her birth was difficult and how she pays the price. Her sister Amelia is her protector, not willing to leave her in the lurch and at the whim of a suitor who might destroy her. Benjamin Lovell is determined to woo Belle but Amy seems to be distracting him. Meanwhile Amy's father has plans.It's light in parts but with some alluded to abuse of a minor male and complicated relationships and misunderstandings. The characters spark well and it's a fun read overall.
