How To Have A Spirit Of Power, Love, And A Sound Mind - Tamika Glasper
Introduction
I start the morning out in prayer seeking God first and spending time with Him. I enjoy spending time with God in prayer. As I think about my day, I breathe and I think what do I have to do today? I am reminded: I have nothing to do, everything has already been done. I then answer the question in Biblical truth: I am going to rest in God today.
And on the seventh day God ended His work which He had made; and He rested on the seventh day from all His work which He had made.
Genesis 2:2
There is physical rest in the form of sleep, naps, relaxation, and comfort. There is also spiritual rest in God through prayer, knowing the truth, and meditation on the Bible. Spiritual rest consistently extends through eternity, as God is the same yesterday, today, and forever. I ask the Holy Spirit to lead me through the day. I watch out for busyness. I can"t get too busy to spend this time with God. God the Father, Son and the Holy Spirit are one. God is my Creator and the one who designed me, my Heavenly Father. I enjoy time to pray, praise, and worship God for who He is. Jesus is my Lord and Savior, who saves me, and the whole world from sin. God’s Holy Spirit who lives in us, believers, and who gives power, revelation, and comfort. Power is a form of confidence in knowing spiritual truths and power to speak about the gospel at the appropriate time. The Holy Spirit gives us revelation of the heart of God. The Holy Spirit shows us how and when to help others. The Holy Spirit is a helper and comforter and gives us strength in times of need.
In 2020, a worldwide pandemic started to significantly surface in the United States. COVID-19 is a virus that brought about many losses. Losses in the form of jobs, loved ones, health, and relationships. I experienced some of these losses. I found comfort in the Holy Spirit who revealed joy, love, peace, endurance, and fruit of the spirit. During difficult times in life, it was God‘s love that kept me.
There may be periods or times when we don’t understand why an event or situation has taken place. It can cause pain and hurt to lose a loved one. There are accidents, sicknesses,
