Grand Central was almost at full capacity pods had been arriving since six in the morning. Three space elevators went down to the spaceport located in a remote part of the desert in New Mexico. People and cargo came up from the service twenty-four hours a day. Vela walked through the station and was feeling a little groggy. The card game went very late, but she did win a hundred Deuros. Since the Dollar and Euros were combined the money was only good on Earth, and she had no idea when the next time she would go down but it was still nice to have. She quickened the pace because it was Thursday and egg day at the Breakfast Bar. It was the only day of the week, there were fresh eggs brought up from Earth the rest of the time it was powdered. She was lucky and got in line just before a group of miners. They were checking her out and making comments because they hadn't seen a woman not covered in dust for at least six months. She was wearing the flight suit that was tight and showed off her beautiful curves.
Normally, she would see if any of them were interested. After they got cleaned up, some of them could be very entertaining. She was ignoring them because there was a woman at one of the tables, and it had been a long time since she saw anyone that lovely. Her head was shaved, which meant she was headed for a destination in deep space. The lips were so lovely wanted to kiss them and have them between her legs. She had such delicate features, and the skin was pale and flawless. Vela was getting wet just looking at her. She got the usual, egg, sausage, and cheese on a bun. They were made in small batches day and night. The smell of fresh baked bread drifted through the station, and it was very hard not to want one.
She stood up at the counter that went around the restaurant. The woman was with a man and two other women. He was older, and the women looked barely legal. The minimum age for deep-space flight was twenty. There could be complications years' later from the radiation exposure for anyone
