About this ebook

You are invited to Purr with me!

What do purring, stretching, and resting have to do with happiness? Quite a lot, I like to say.
I’m Yogi Cat. I grew up in a yoga studio. Plus, I have swami orange fur and a never-ending curiosity about what brings happiness. I have traveled to many places to satisfy my curiosity, and I always come back and tell my friends what I have learned. All my feline friends said I should write a book about what I know.

You've got to purr to be happy!

Happiness isn’t about some end goal that you reach by the time you are old. No way! What I’ve learned is that happiness is how you do your day. It’s about stretching and being curious and loving.

That’s why I encourage you to get this book and make your life a whole lot happier. I’ve got 16 short stories here that will give you a cat’s-eye view of how to put the purr in your life – through purr-pose, purr-ception, and purr-sistence. A purr-fect idea, don’t you think?

He believes that deep human values are universal and can be awakened through stories. He likes to think of organizing words as similar to connect-the-dot puzzles he enjoyed as a kid. When you connect the dots, something that is hidden suddenly appears; it’s magical! The light goes on! This quest for connections, for light, has directly led to his novel, The Elixir of Freedom, Book 1 in The Light Finder Legends. He has won awards for journalism, newsletter writing, and teaching, and makes his home in Fresno, California. And, he is still connecting the dots!

    About the Author

    Preface

Gather round while I tell you tales of the purr-suit of happiness. Humans say that the purr-suit of happiness is their goal, but since there’s a purr in purr-suit, I believe it’s really something cats can talk about. In fact, it’s my opinion that if you can find the purr in the purr-suit of happiness, then you’ll achieve the purr-pose of your life.

The one thing you must do, I found out, is to change your purr-ception. You just need be open to seeing things in a new way. It’s not hard; it’s as simple as being curious and asking questions.

We are all different, of course; we have such unique purr-sonalities. But deep down, we all want the same thing — happiness. That’s our real purr-pose.

Let me tell you some stories about what I’ve learned.

    Introduction

You may wonder how I got my name, Yogi Cat. Really now, it should be obvious. We cats like to stretch. We can get into all kinds of positions. In fact, I believe cats were the original yoga masters
