Don't Wait Til I Die To Love Me vol. II - Michael Tavon

    A Message to My Ex

Do I ever cross your heart

    Like a crucifix?

    Was what we had

    Real to begin with?

    Does your thoughts ever travel

To where we used to be?

Or did you only see me as scenery?

Was I something to pass the time as you sightsee?

Do you see the joy I found without you

    And wonder what could’ve been?

Do you ever wish for a mulligan

So you can choose me over them?

    does you mind ever

    get haunted by regret

    When you realize

    I’m the best thing

    you will never forget

To The One Who Still Lurks Their Exes Social Medias

    I’m not ashamed to admit

    Every now & then

    When you cross my mind

    I search your name

    to see how you’ve been

    How’s life after us?

    Where have you been

I see you’ve finally quit that job you hated

cause you were gaining too much weight,

Now you in the gym flexing

    on your story

    I’m happy for you,

    You mostly post selfies

    and Geotagged pictures

    of the places you always

    dreamed of going

    You finally see the world

    outside of yourself

    Oh and

the one you told me not to worry about

    is now your everything

    the one who completes you

    So much has changed,

    Us against the world

    you wrote as the caption

to the photo of you two kissing,

    so cliché

I mean this with the utmost sincerity,

    congratulations,

    I hope all is well

    Survivor’s Remorse

    The blame you carry

Has made your heart too heavy

    To beat steadily

    You desire to move on,

But your mind is not ready

    the clouds in your eyes

    pour tears of sorrow

As you beg to the sky

    For a crystal clear tomorrow

    Dark thoughts haunt

    The halls of your mind

    You feel so alone

    With guilt festering inside

It seems impossible to let go,

When the pain hits so close,

    One thing you must know

    It’s out of your control

    The universe is a mystery

    Humans can’t solve

    When life goes wrong

    It’s not your always fault

    I hope you realize

    before it’s too late

    Stop hurting yourself

    What happened you can’t change

    It’s not your fault,

    Sometimes it’s just unfortunate
