Part 1: The Keynote

Daniel McAdams was getting ready to go on stage for the keynote. Gabe, his assistant, took the water bottle from his hand and handed him the new phone. 

Are you nervous? Gabe asked.

Of course I'm nervous, Daniel said. He was the head of Tangerine Computers. He was about to reveal the final feature of their upcoming cellphone. He knew the next few minutes would determine the rest of his company's trajectory.

Well sir, regardless of what happens, it was great working for you.

Daniel shook his assistant's hand and then stepped out onto the stage. The crowd that was there began to cheer as he approached the X that was placed in tape on the stage where he was supposed to stand. Once he got there, he let out a huge sigh and then began his speech.

The new 7G technology that is being rolled out this coming spring has made for some innovative steps that we at Tangerine have had the pleasure of exploring. We have worked hard for decades, trying to perfect the user experience. From computers to phones, to vehicles, we have decided to take the next step into creating comfort for our user base.

Daniel adjusted the belt he was wearing. He was a bit self-conscious about the next step. He wasn't ugly by any means.
