About this ebook

The poetry, prose, quotes and writing here is from a notepad I bought second hand an at animal charity open day at Millstream Animal Centre. I was surprised to find this collection and the quality of the work. JMS has an excellent talent and unconditional love for her cat(s) and the other writers are equally memorable. As a writer myself, I had to type this up and edit it and release it to the world. The poetry is unique, as is this collection which was found by chance. Who JMS was? Example: LAST HOPE Affection perhaps, the word 'love' is too strong. It is no longer part of my day. I neither give nor receive, it doesn't belong. And I fear that's the way it will stay.

Row upon row they stood to sing,

    A thousand at a word.

And loud arose, God Save the King.

But as I watched and heard

The upturned faces in the light

    of the early afternoon,

Reminded me of the crosses of white

    beneath a silent moon.
