My friend Dino Pedrone, whom I have known for many years, has proven over and over to be a trusted friend, ready to help, even when it was not convenient for him. Perhaps most of all I have never seen him waiver from God’s Word and counsel. Thank you, Dino for your integrity, wisdom, and friendship.

There are few preachers in the world today that inform or inspire me more than Dr. Dino Pedrone. I have benefited greatly from his gifts as a communicator of God’s word since my early years. His insightful writing, like his speaking, is clear, captivating, and practical. This newest work will no doubt prove to add yet another volume to the rich legacy of biblical wisdom produced from the pen of an anointed servant of Christ. Like Paul I pray that you, as you read, your eyes will be opened so that you may see all the spiritual blessings that you inherit because of True Spiritual Identity.

I have known the writer for over 55 years. I have witnessed his ability to take challenging passages of scripture and give clear understanding to the believer. His desire to challenge the child of God to study the Scriptures and make application in our ever-changing world and to bring glory to our Savior.
I am confident that the Holy Spirit will use this book to cause the reader to have a greater understanding of the Scriptures resulting in a closer walk with our Lord.

chapter 1
Who Am I?
Ross Perrot’s running mate, James Stockdale, offered this famous introduction to the American public, Who am I? Why am I here?
as his opening line to the vice-presidential debate in 1992. Those first three words to his initial question is what this book is all about. Who am I? The answer we will discover, has nothing to do with politics, but with how God sees us. Here are some examples.
He was a Hebrew raised in an Egyptian society. He often thought to himself that he did not fit in! He seemed to have his own culture. He was rescued from death as a child. His upbringing caused him to see numerous injustices. He wanted justice! One day he saw an Egyptian killing a Hebrew. He was so incensed; he killed the Egyptian! Now I am a murderer! he thought. However, this man, Moses, eventually became, alongside Abraham and David, the most important Hebrew in history. How did this happen?
After the defeat of the Nazis Hitler’s regime in World War II, Holocaust survivor and Christian Corrie ten Boom returned to Germany to declare the forgiveness of Jesus Christ. One evening after giving her message, she was approached by a man who identified himself as a former Nazi guard from the concentration camp at Ravensbruck, where she had been held and where her sister, Betsie, had died.
When Corrie saw the man’s face, she recognized him as one of the most cruel and vindictive guards from the camp. He reached out his hand and said to her, ‘A fine message, Fraulein. How good it is to know that, as you say, all our sins are at the bottom of the sea! You mentioned Ravensbruck in your talk. I was a guard there, but I would like to hear it from your lips as well. Fraulein, will you forgive me?’ About this encounter, Corrie writes:
‘I stood there – I whose sins had again and again been forgiven – and could not forgive. Betsie had died in that place. Could he erase her slow terrible death simply for the asking? It could have been many seconds he stood there – hand held out – but to me it seemed hours as I wrestled with the most difficult thing I ever had to do. I had to do it – I knew that. The message is that God forgives those who have injured us. But forgiveness is not an emotion. I knew that too. Forgiveness is an act of the will, and the will can function regardless of the temperature of the heart. Jesus, help me! I prayed silently.’
As she reached out her hand to the former guard, Corrie says that something incredible took place. She continues:
‘The current started in my shoulder, and raced down my arm, sprang into
