About this ebook
Anthology brimming with sentiments so many readers can relate to, Putting everyday emotions into the fore and blending them into a mix that one can get dizzy from or addicted to is what the author has stirringly done in these poetic pieces. It speaks of love in different angles: loving God, loving oneself; the thrills love can bring lovers: from the stare to the kiss to the intertwining of hearts, body, and soul; it also portrays the other side of love: betrayal, cheating, deceit, temptations, abuse.

All Of Me
I had to write this down while it was running through my head
I knew that if I waited until I saw you it just wouldn’t sound the same
There isn’t anything I would rather be doing right now
Besides getting ready to have our baby
This means so much to me
I’ll always have you with me
Whether you are here in body or spirit
We created this life together and it was no accident
The way brushes were made for paint
Tools used in life to make it a bit easy
You have covered all of me with loyalty
A nice glossy coat of safety
And now
I have a smooth wall of confidence for us
This was meant to be
God obviously found it necessary for us to be in each other’s lives
I’m going to do everything that I can to make sure of this legacy
You and I
We flipped a couple of pages ahead
Went straight to the kids’ section
Remove the book mark
I am ready for the getting to know
And understand each other’s wants and needs
section
At the same time we are going to be raising our child
We may get frustrated from time to time
Know
I am the laces to your shoes
Going in and out of whatever holes
I have to in this life with you
We are stringed together
I am blessed to be tied up with you
I love you and what this means is that:
I will never purposely hurt your feelings
Never look at anyone the way I look at you
Never smile at anyone the way I smile at you
Never bring harm to your physical being
You are so special and you have the best part of me
I see no other color skies but blue
Storms, no matter how strong the winds
I am held tightly by your limbs
My insecurities are gone my vulnerabilities
Caught a ride with him
One thing I want you to remember
When frustration stops by
The urge to cheat rings your phone
And the thought of leaving wakes you while you are sleeping
Babe, remember
There are rocks on every path
The key is to tread lightly
You can’t possibly step over every stone
I don’t expect you to.

In a small confined space
At the corner of this block
That avenue
We park
Next to that meter
On this block
And that avenue
After seven it’s free
Till wee hours in the morning
He talks to me
