    Acknowledgements and dedications

I feel blessed by the Lord, from the day that I was born and until now and I wish to thank Him first for the gift of life. He has helped me cross dangerous rivers and climb treacherous mountains. The Almighty has protected me from the vicious mouths of the lions, from the dangerous teeth of the sharks and has continued being steadfastly my Shepherd.

I truly feel blessed in several ways: I have learned to forgive, to love humankind, all God’s children regardless of race, gender, beliefs, ignorance and to support my friends in good and in bad times. I have also learned to be grateful to God, to all my benefactors, to move on from past failures and mistakes, to cherish the success that I have attained and to be a better person.

I wish to thank my mother who had carried me for two years and I am quoting her. Thank God, she is still alive.

I wish to offer special thanks and admiration to my late hard-working father, Gustave Logerie, who literally labored day and night to support his children and other family members. He will always be my inspiration and my strength.

I wish to offer special thanks to my late aunt and surrogate mother Chéristyle Logerie, to my late surrogate mother and mentor Céline Duvernois known as Mrs. Auguste Domec, and to my last surrogate mother Mrs. Germaine Dupiche, now living in Houston, Texas with her family. I have been a very lucky man with so many surrogate mothers.

I wish special thanks to the following educators: Dr. Marjorie Rappaport, my Montclair High School E.S.L teacher, Dr. Michele Hertz, my favorite French Professor and Dr. Goodman of the Rutgers Accounting Department for giving me good and sound advice.

I wish to thank the following friends for taking time to read my poems: M.C. Tournesy, Zauditu Kandekore and many others who have supported me.

I wish to thank my friends and ex co-workers of the Passaic County Educational Services Commission for thirteen birthday parties and hard works: Dr. Howard P. Solomon, Addie, Eva, Jeanette, Irene, Karen, Oneida, Sonia and the rest of the dedicated employees who have been so professional and so nice to me.

I wish to thank my other relatives, my readers and many supporters who have helped me in the past and others who will undoubtedly help me in the future. I also offer very special thanks of gratitude to all of my friends; I mean all of my friends all over the world (no one is left out).

I will be very brief so you can spend more time reading my inspirational poems.

As stated on the cover, I started writing surreptitiously as an adolescent. At an early age, I developed a love for nature and humanity, and I understood the meanings of loving, caring and showing compassion to all: classmates, teammates, friends, peasants etcetera. I am a true people’s person and my ultimate wish is to see that one day all of us live happily and comfortably.

Most of my poems deal with love or amorous encounters, relationships, struggles, politics and different stages that we experience in life. Some of my poems are funny, inspirational, real, imaginary, and of course romantic. We live for love, without love, life would have no meaning. I know money is important too, but money cannot buy love or happiness.

May God bless you: Peace and Love, Paix et Amour, Paz y Amor.

    Thank you,

    Essex County, New Jersey, USA
