My name is John L. Lamb (I don’t like my middle name, so I don’t use it or give it). I’ll be 78 years old this coming March (aren’t all Lambs born in March?). I’m a very young 78, I can do anything a young man can do, but not as long. I’m a possivetive person which makes my life a happy one.
I’ve had many many ideas (in my head) but never acted on any of them, so you can say I’ve lost millions (and it don’t seem to bother me). I always got by on what I have. My biggest reward is I like people, and never ever been bored.
I’m a one woman man (I never sleep with two women at the same time, heck, I never waste time sleeping when I’m with a woman)
Love children even more, that’s where real joy is, God Bless—em all.
Served in the Korean war, received 5 battle stars, lost some buddies, helped some children over there. That’s when I realized how lucky we Americans really are.
Started writing poems about twelve years ago (except for one I wrote to my wife some fifty-plus years ago). I fell in love with poetry instantly, mostly I write comedy (I always was a clown) but every now and then I’ll write seriously.
I will never be what you call a great poet. I don’t have the skills to describe how beautiful a rose is, it’s not my cup of tea. But I do consider my poem interesting. If I never sell a book, I will be happy knowing
