God’s Love
We speak of love as if it were an emotion,
And in God’s love do we find faith and devotion;
When the time is right and al is in season
I find that love is the love of reason.

The Eagle
Where the eagle twines
And t he eagle dares;
High on the cravens
The cliffs astare.
Marks t he lofty cliff divine,
Eternally watchful of heaven and earth,
Tenderly feeding its children in mind,
Carefully watching its young of new birth.
Young eaglets twirling in frolicing play,
Ever-bursting in men’s esteem;
Ever-caressing in energetic glee;
Frolicing with its radiant beam
While climbing alert and free
Heavenward found from the land;
Trailing the coast and majestic sea,
Alert to motion near cliff, water and sand.
Eternal vigilance by its watchful eye
Traverses a motion with gleem,
Swooping its prey to its death so nigh,
Gaining respect in man’s esteem;
Eternally careening skies sirene,
Ever-alerted to the tiniest lair,
Vibrantly gliding the heaven’s lean
Apart as eagle’s dare,

The Patriot
0, patriot of America, thou dost stand true
To thy country under skies of blue,
Guiding thy people in kindred song
That they may stand for freedom strong.
Thy leadership, dynamically folds
As a shepard brings his flock to the holds
Of God’s mercy and loving care,
So, must ye, also, lovingly bear.
0, thy patriot of many years,
Let us bear with thee the tears
Of America’s men of hold
In countless tales untold.
For thee, O patriot, there is no shame
In the land for which you claim;
Thy bounty stands in majestic pride
As thy leadership is at our side.
Bequeath, the spirit of the patriot true,
For h e, his enemies slew;
For America’s freedom was his call
And humanity’s freedom and justice for all.
