About this ebook
Debbie Marie Abrom
Debbie Marie Abrom, Born and raised in Hartford, CT. I am a single mother and College Student also a full time employee of a CT based Security Service. I have been writing poetry since 1997 when I lost my Aunt to gang violence. I never wrote to be an author and never felt like a poet, I simply wrote to put my thoughts on paper good bad and ugly. Thought flowed freely from my mind on to paper turning into poetry. 2009 I enter a contest; I did not win but I got a chance to get one of my poems published in a book called the Wishing Well :Awakenings , blessed with this honor I thought I should do something my poems and write a book the whole world can relate to.

The Untold Truth of a Libra - Debbie Marie Abrom
2. My World
As I observe the world I’ve seen destruction, kids killing kids, violence in homes
Black communities creating their own statistic, killing each other over the smallest bullshit
The world is big but far too small to throw away your dreams before giving it your all
Mother Nature is shacking countries changing humanity, family’s torn apart children wandering about.
Hungry and tired with no place to call home, for some it’s the end their expiration date begins
Government Issues, healthcare reform to recession, big or small this affects our world, changing who we are
God is making us see that he controls our reality no matter who we as individuals believe
Something is happening and it’s not our call, appreciate life and who you are
Cause you never know when it’s time for your alarm to go off.
3. With Inspiration Comes Success
Just inspire to do your best
It doesn’t come easy; there may be a long road ahead
With hard work you will be blessed
What doesn’t kill you will make you stronger
We’ve all heard that before
But strength can’t come if lessons are never learned
Trust you who are
Ambitious thoughts never leave you far
Believe in who you are
Never take anything for granted
Your seed has been planted, tightly closed in a bud
Waiting to bloom and grow into a beautiful flower
Everything placed in your path is there for you to complete a task
And you have the power to make it happen
If you don’t give it your all you’ll be collapsing
You have to be a leader to be the captain of your ship
You got to sail your boat before sinking begins
Keep inspiring to be and do your best
With inspiration comes success, only then will you be blessed.
4. Caught Up Again
Here we go again, caught up on a boy that’s not yet a man
When will this end, a good women deserves a good man
Here I go playing myself, once again the devil wins
Now he is in another woman hands, will I ever learn my lesson?
When will that man come and be my blessing from above?Guess I need to stop stressing life is to short and I got love to give
So why am I caught up on a boy that’s not yet a man
5. Is love happening to Me
Is this really happening to me, this cannot be, too good to be true is all I can think
I’m kind of scared to let my heart go at its own beat, what do I do when I caught up on you
I want to runaway but my feet won’t move, so honest and sweet can you really be here for me?
I don’t know but in time we’ll see, should I take my guard down and spread my wings
Or is it too soon am I being a fool? Just met you and don’t know what I’m getting into
It just feels so damn good when I’m with you, what’s a girl to do
Your conversation your smile, your confidence your style, In the back of my mind I’m like
WOW
I wish I could fast forward time and see what my future holds with you
But I got to let God do his job because only he truly know what my future holds
A beautiful but scary feeling, scared to be brokenhearted again, maybe this time love will win.
6. Interested
You’re interested in me and me as well in you
You see something you never seen and feel ways you never felt
What does this mean? Your interest is deep and my interest makes me weak
I miss you already and it has only been a week
You said my eyes is what drew you to me
You felt a connection that I couldn’t see, you asked me on a date and I agreed
We sat and we talked I got to know you, you got to know me
I was interested in what I was hearing and took back by what my eyes were seeing
Too good to be true my interest grew for you
Your small smile and, long hair soft smooth skin, such a gentleman and very intelligent
Someone who I am very interested in getting to know on other level’s were sure to go
From the dance floor to so much more you are someone whom I adore
Thanks for your time; I’m still interested in finding out the man you truly are inside.
7. Ride
The ride goes up the ride goes down
Swinging from side to side, I hate this ride
This is my emotional rollercoaster ride
No access fee and no time
