About The Author: At age thirteen, I kept a diary and seldom missed a day writing in it. My childhood girlfriends lived quite different lives. They looked up to me. Whenever they had a problem they shared it with me seeking comfort and validation. At age fourteen, I decided to write a short story about each of my friends. For what ever reason I kept my diary and short stories throughout the years. One day I decided to expand upon each story. Today I am presently residing in the state of Delaware born and raised in New Jersey. I retired from the Department of Corrections, twelve years as a Social Worker. Prior to working as a social worker I worked as a Certified Substance Abuse counselor for ten years. I felt I had a calling from God and didn’t hesitate leaving NJ to relocate to DE. I am a widow with two daughters eight grandkids and three great grand kids. About The Book: This book is based on segments of three true stories incorporated into one. This is where Bridgett was created from. My childhood friends shared with me the good, the bad and the ugly of the utmost privacies of their lives. The primary purpose of this book is to demonstrate how our lives can seem hopeless but if we never give up God will shine his grace upon us which will bring us an abundance of joy and happiness.

    Introduction

Don’t Throw Away God’s Seeds: They Are Gifts From God is a Christian book of fiction. However, the scriptures used in this book are true. I wrote this book because God gave me a revelation in the book of Isaiah, Chapter 54. He opened my eyes to things that women have gone through and are still going through. I have heard ministers preach from this book many times and their favorite passage is 54:17 No weapon that is formed against thee shall prosper; and every tongue that shall rise against thee in judgment thou shalt condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord, and their righteousness is of me, saith the Lord. I’ve come to find out that when you read the whole chapter it goes much deeper than that. It is so deep that I feel some preachers have been afraid to address it or acknowledge the real truth of this chapter. So I’m bringing this chapter to light in fiction form but the preaching that you will read comes from what God has given me. Women have been outcast for many years and some of the main ones who have condemned them and made them feel worthless were church folk. I’m sorry to be so blunt, but the truth is the light. I’m a living witness that many church members think they are very holy and are the first to act as if they have never been through anything. They are the first to condemn and point the finger. The problem is that most church folk have been through things but these things have been covered up for years. They have been carrying guilt, shame, and pain because they were worried about what other church people would say. They would rather talk about others than bring healing to their own heartache and pain. What do I mean by women being outcast? I mean young women were put to shame because they became pregnant at an early age and were not married. The women’s shame and pain was so severe that many babies were given away, or killed through abortion. Some mothers with children have died themselves after complications of illegal and legal abortions. Some babies have been found in garbage cans. To ease the women’s pain God let me know in his word in Isaiah 54:4 Fear not; for thou shalt not be ashamed. Isaiah 54:1 clearly lets you know that there will be more women having children while unmarried than women who are married. Instead of acknowledging the word for what it really says they turn it around and make young women feel worthless. Many young hearts have been shattered because of gossiping lips and pointed fingers. Prayer is the key to many situations. In these cases women need prayer and support instead of critical talk in their time of tribulations. They need real Christians to help them through. We all have fallen short of the glory of God in some type of sin.

I have not been saved all my life. I thank God that I never thought about abortion when I found myself pregnant and unmarried. I was taught to be responsible for the things I got myself into. I’m a living witness to all women that you can make it no matter what happens. God was with me even when I wasn’t saved before the birth of my first child. He gave me the strength to work hard and accomplish much in my life. I didn’t give up just because my first experience as a mother was as a single parent. I thank God for my children I am not ashamed of who I am and what I’ve been through. Many lips have tried to come against me but I’m still standing. Reading the word of Isaiah and getting the revelation from God helped me to stand stronger.

Nothing is new under the word of God. There are women in the Bible who had children out of wedlock. Through my study of this revelation God lead me to the situation of Abraham and Hagar in Genesis 16: 1-16 & Genesis 21:1-34. Hagar was not his wife, she was his maidservant. She not only had a child while not married but also by a married man. God brought Hagar and her son Ishmael through. God blessed them in spite of the situation. You see this has happened long before our time and has been happening for generations. Does it make it okay? No, but as you read this book carefully I’m not condoning having children out of wedlock. What I am saying is, if it happens, take responsibility and raise the child. Remember
