Jeannette Wooden

Jeannette Robinson Wooden is a poet and retired elementary school teacher. Born in Cleveland, Ohio, she attended Kent State University and California State University in Los Angeles, where she received her Bachelor of Arts Degree in English. Jeannette's poems have been published in the Los Angeles Unified School District's publication Black Voices and "Perspectives 84", an anthology of poetry compiled in honor of Black Heritage Week by the United States Air Force. Jeannette has always enjoyed writing, but she was inspired to begin writing poetry while teaching for the Los Angeles Unified School District. Jeannette and her husband Walter have traveled all over the world. They preently live in Frisco, Texas where they relocated from California to be close to their children Cherylyn and Jason two beautiful grandchildren.
