Reverend Dr. Charles B. Broadway Ph.D

The Reverend Charles Broadway has a PhD in metaphysics and specialization in paranormal/anomalous science. One definition of metaphysics is the study, analysis, and research of all beings, including God—the Supreme Level of Consciousness. Dr. Broadway has a DSc (doctorate of science with a specialty in holistic life coaching in counseling and educating the relationships and interrelationships of mind, body, and soul). He has also earned two (2) master’s degrees. One is a master’s in social work (counseling and clinical supervision) from the University of Alabama, Tuscaloosa, Alabama, and the other is a master’s in religious education from New Orleans Theological Seminary, New Orleans, Louisiana. He obtained his BA degree in psychology and religion from the University of Mobile. As founder and director, he has developed a state-wide corporation (not for profit) called the Alabama Eternal Life Institute, which is a spiritual corporation with five (5) separate but connected organizations providing unique services by way of seminars, classes, public and private presentations, lectures, research, and written materials. He is available to provide these services upon contact and availability. The corporation is nondenominational, and all services are offered to all persons, religions, Christians, and nonreligious groups. Spirituality is a major concept. God loves (agape) everyone. Some of the services of this corporation are about spirituality, dying and death processes, afterlife research, paranormal/anomalous investigations and research, near- and shared-death experiences (positive and negative), metaphysical concepts, and holistic life coaching (mind, body, and soul), among others. Dr. Broadway has researched 141 individuals reporting near-death experiences and ten (10) shared-death experiences. He has also investigated 120 locations and families reporting unexplainable, supernatural, unusual events and occurrences. National polls indicate that approximately 75 percent of those polled believe in supernatural occurrences while 50 percent report they or someone close to them have had paranormal and/or supernatural experiences. DEDICATION

To my dear, beloved wife of forty-two years of marriage. Cathy Gail Moatts Broadway, formerly of Alexander City, Alabama, has been a continuing source of inspiration and guidance during these years. She is my soul mate, lover, best friend, and constant companion. She is a great listener, which is rare. She has been from week one (1) of our marriage continually employed, which helped me to obtain my education, degrees, certifications, and diplomas. She has been a beautiful woman with many skills and a lot of intelligence. I asked a great deal that God would connect me to the right person for my partner in life, and He delivered. I thank her with all my heart, mind, and soul for being and becoming who she chose to be.

I also dedicate this book to all our dog children we have had, raised, loved, soul-connected, rescued, as well as helped to cross over into the spiritual dimension. They have been constant companions, sources of inspiration, as well as protectors. I have no patience with people who hate all animals. If you exercise your God-given ability to not have an animal, I recognize and accept you as a valuable spirit in the human species. However, if your hate/fear of animals leads you to abusing them, I then say I abhor you and pray that God will do justice to you for destroying living souls without any meaning or purpose.

My wife and I have had nine (9) dogs, and they have been terrific companions, friends, and soul mates. We started with Sedaka (named after Neil Sedaka) in the 1970s. We rescued him from a pound, and he was a mixed breed and lived longer without diseases or afflictions than the other eight who were purebreds. The other dog children included Taje, Max and Kahn, Viger (named after the NASA Voyager space explorer and the science-fiction movies of Star Trek), Chance, Kuma, Damon, and presently, Gracy, whom Cathy and I rescued.

To my Broadway family and my Native American family (Deavers), I also dedicate this book. My biological mother, who was a saint, loved me and all my brothers and sisters and gave us all a hug almost every day and would tell us that she loved us. To my oldest brother, William Frank Broadway, who is deceased. To The Humane Society of the United States, corporate office in Washington, D.C. As my wife and I are animal lovers and during our marriage of 42 years, we have rescued many animals, adopted nine (9) dogs and have provided supervision, care, and love. All animals are unique and special like humans and they make particular contributions to humans. This organization originated in the 1800’s and remains a vital resource for animals and is the largest organization planet wide, to help protect and care for all animals. My wife and I salute your organization and mission across the planet earth. Tremendous diversity of animals on earth is a spiritual gift from God or the supreme level of consciousness.

To The American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals in the United States is another very important organization that cares for and protects animals. The organization has the legal authority to investigate and when necessary to make arrests for crimes against animals. In my opinion, we need to increase the levels of punishment for those who commit crimes against animals. I would support legislation to do so. According to the Founder Henry Bergh in 1866, ASPCA’s mission is to provide effective means for the prevention of cruelty to animals throughout the United States". This organization’s corporate office is in New York City but has a humane presence in each and every state. The organization provides leadership in three (3) ways: 1) Caring for pet parents as well as pets. 2) Establishing positive outcomes for animals who may be at risk. 3) Assist victims of animal cruelty. I offer this dedication for the great work that you do.

First, I thank the Reverend Carmon Parrish for leading me to a personal and evidential experience with Jesus Christ in 1967 while he was pastor of Open Acres Baptist Church in Montgomery, Alabama. He also conducted my ordination ceremony in 1971.

Second, I recognize the Reverend Dr. Thomas Lane Butts, a retired minister and pastor emeritus at First United Methodist Church of Monroeville, Alabama. We desperately need more spiritual Christian authorities like him. He is still touching lives and increasing the level of consciousness through his writings. Third, I acknowledge my deceased friend Senator Wendell Mitchell of Luverne, Alabama (Crenshaw County). Without my knowing of his medical condition, he died recently without sharing again some of our experiences with him as a legislator, attorney, lobbyist, and friend. I miss him on the planet earth. My father and his father knew each other starting in the 1930s. For many years, Senator Mitchell and I knew each other as I was born in Crenshaw County, Alabama. Then we had the opportunity to work with each other for several years and were able to accomplish several things to help people of lower, middle, and upper socioeconomic classes.

Fourth, I recognize the late Dr. W. C. Dobbs, who was one of my best mentors and who taught me at Mobile College (presently, the University of Mobile in Mobile, Alabama). He was a great teacher—professional, ethical, and intellectual—who challenged me every class to have both faith and reason in my journey. He continuously motivated me to grow, develop, evolve, and use my intellect. He was a model professor and daily follower of Jesus Christ. I also had the opportunity upon his request to serve him and God as his associate pastor from 1971 to 1972 at Cottage Hill Baptist Church in Mobile, Alabama.

Fifth, I acknowledge my educational experiences and development at the University of Alabama in Tuscaloosa, Alabama. I developed mentally and psychologically and increased knowledge and skills as a result of the professors and the tremendous campus spirit of environmental stimulation for the development of my energy or spirit. The campus spirit was and is great. Roll tide roll!

Sixth, I acknowledge Douglas R. Kelley, PhD, CH, CSL, founder and director of the Institute of Metaphysical Humanistic Science in the state of Florida. He has students from all over the United States and several foreign countries. Dr. Kelley stimulated my growth and development toward self-completeness and actualization.
