About this ebook
A stroke changed his thinking completely and to this day I still am in amazement in the changes in our lives when good health evades us. Also in his late years along with the complications of the stroke, along came some senility that somehow had been born in Dad.
The following episodes are only a few of the stories that occurred but there are many, many more that I have not listed because some of them are very personal and maybe even somewhat embarrassing.
I pray that Mom and Dad will enjoy reading them in Heaven especially my Mom since she wasnt here to enjoy the chaotic events and Dad to forgive me for sharing his life with others. Thank you Mom and Dad, Love you both.

This book is a memoir or story or tale of my Dad after he had a stroke in his early eighties. Many thanks to him and of course my MOM because without them I wouldn’t be here and would not have lived through his sickness and been able to write this story. ALSO, MY IMMEDIATE FAMILY: Siblings, Children and Grandchildren are very appreciative of them.
A Thank You goes to them plus all my Nieces, Nephew, Cousins and Friends.
We live in a great world and in a great time where everything and anything is possible especially when you have people who love you and who are always available to be a helping hand.
But a very special Love and Thank You to my Sons who were always there with me during this dramatic and stressful time in our lives. Many years before when my husband had passed away, my Dad was there for me and my sons (who at the time were five and eight years old), during a very difficult time in our lives and so having to go through such a difficult time later on with Dad was extremely rewarding to us as it was a way to thank him for all he did for us.
A Special Thank You to my Sister and Brother-in-law who would give me many, many R and R’s (rest and recuperation) and then brought him to their home in California for the last few years of his life. He died at the age of 92.
And last but not least Thank You to my Brother and his Wife and all who would listen to me when I would rant and rave whenever one of Dad’s antics would occur.

Chapter 1
CALIFORNIA HERE WE COME
My Dad and I were on our way to the west coast—San Diego, California—to visit my sister and deposit him with her for a few (hopefully lots and lots of) weeks, and/or as I called his time away from me on the east coast—Philadelphia, Pennsylvania—my R & R, (rest and recuperation).
We were flying a straight-thru airline from the east coast to the west coast and the flight normally takes around five/six hours but Dad seems to think that it’s taking longer than it should and I notice him getting somewhat EDGY??
Now you have to know that flying is definitely and never has been one of my favorite things to do, but then again there is no better way to arrive somewhere and/or of course deliver SOMEONE quickly to a destination like California. But now I, unlike my Dad who has never feared flying some thirty to thirty-five thousand miles above the ground and among the clouds in any kind of weather am a complete nervous, manic, anxious, nail biting, fearful tranquilizer and/or wine flyer.
