But they that wait upon the LORD shall
renew their strength…
Isaiah 40:31
This book is dedicated, first of all, to the memory of my dear mother Neomi Landrum Brown Joseph, who was emancipated from this life April 30, 2013 and has gone on to be with the LORD. She leaves behind two sisters, Vera Wilcox who is the matriarch of the family and her youngest sister Mildred Williams. They are the last two of my grandparents 9 children. I couldn’t do any of this if it were not for my beautiful bride, Christine. I have received so much encouragement from her. She really believes in me and always tells me I can do anything. I discuss my ideas with her to see how she is affected by them. She is such a great help-meet. I would also like to recognize the friends who encouraged me to write this second book. They are Ministers Sidney and Wanda Singleton. Sidney is a brilliant and prolific poet and his wife, Wanda is an accomplished Psalmist and singer. Together they have a beautiful ministry, Comfort, Edify, and Exhort,
where he does poetry and she sings. They do this everywhere they get the opportunity. Sidney is currently working on writing and publishing his first book of poetry. Their words to me were, you have to get it out of your head and on to paper.
Then there is Oliver and Barbara Stokes. Oliver and I have been friends for a long time. We worked together for many years, we are both Viet Nam vets and we both love the Lord. He’s a big man with an even bigger heart. He was best man
in my wedding and is the god-father of my Jr. Barbara is an extraordinary singer and woman of God. She is very gifted and hasn’t even scratched the surface yet. Also my dear church members, Bro. Jerry and Sis. Barbara Swadling who are so anxious to read this book. They are a wonderful couple who were just made for each other. They serve in the Antioch Baptist Church in Aubrey, Texas. They have shown me and my wife such wonderful kindness and friendship during the time we have known them. They hold me in high esteem and give me such respect that it is the epitome of Christian love. If Jerry had his way I would be teaching in a
