About this ebook

The theme is a running vein all through the thirty-two poems, advocating international integration that breaks nationalism and calls it unwanted feeling for humanity. Globalization has not done away with national politics backed by power centers, which in turn is backed by money muscle. Vested interest lobbies use globalization only for economic supremacy of certain power groups, whereas in reality, there is economic cannibalism. This has been highlighted in the poems. Harsh reality is mirrored through poems, a medium soft in form but strong in its attack on social injustice.

I am the second coming, the kalki, the new Nabhi

Risen not from the ashes of fire

Nor from the waters of earth,

Nor from the clouds of the sky

    From you I have arisen

    From your awakening

    Narrow ways and broad hatred

    Now opened by flood gates

    Of blood, all blood, green,
