About this ebook

Dirty Secrets? What would you say is a clean secret? And can you keep a secret? Stephanies secret was not an ordinary secret and its definitely not one that you want to tell anyone else about. Stephanie tried keeping her secret to herself but it seemed that her closet was too full with skeletons and they began to all fall out. As Stephanie says, A secret is only safe if you are the only one who knows what it is.
Some secrets are better left kept as a secret; this is what Stephanie has learned a lot about. Before her big move to her new apartment she lived miles away in a small town where everyone knew everyones business. If you walked out of your house to go down the street, the whole town knew exactly where you were. But Stephanie had a lot of secrets and no one would have ever known that she had been hiding them.
Stephanie was exhausted from the move and all of the unpacking made her extremely tired. There were so many things that still had to be done. She looked around and saw boxes that still needed to be put away. She spotted a small red box. She reached down and picked it up. With so many boxes she packed, she couldnt remember exactly what was in that particular box. She ripped the tape off of the box and opened it. Tears started to fall from her eyes.
Sometimes there are too many skeletons in one closet and they all start falling out. A secret is only safe if you are the only one who knows what it is.

I have a passion for writing and I have been writing short stories since I was ten. Over the years I contemplated on having my book published. I wanted the reader to see, hear and feel how alive my writing is. I wanted people to enjoy reading my book as much as I enjoy writing. My true encouragement was my daughter. When I read her one of my stories she told me that I was a great writer. At nine years old she was so proud of me and impressed with my writing and she told me, “You should be a writer.” Yes, this is what made me say its time. I dedicate this book to my hero, my cheerleader, my number one fan and my best friend, my daughter Arianna. I don’t think that I would have ever decided to publish my book if I didn’t have my daughter’s encouragement. It was always my dream to publish my book and she made me realize that I should go for it. I also want to thank all my family who also encouraged over the years to publish my book. With your encouragement you made this happen, you have helped me make my book come alive and real!!This is just the beginning there is more to come!!! I enjoy writing and I hope you enjoy reading!!

    Chapter 1

    Inside%20book%20image.jpg

Starting a new job and moving into a new home were two things Stephanie had been looking forward to. With a rough past, she was trying to move on and forget about the people she left behind and start fresh. As Stephanie moved her last box into her new apartment, there was a sigh of relief. As she looked around, she never thought that she could possibly have ended up where she was now. Just to think how long it took her to get to this point. Some secrets are better left kept as secrets; this is what Stephanie has learned a lot about. Before her big move to her new apartment, she lived miles away in a small town where everyone knew everyone’s business. If you walked out of your house to go down the street, the whole town knew exactly where you were. But Stephanie had a lot of secrets, and no one would have ever known that she had been hiding them.

    Chapter 2

    Inside%20book%20image.jpg

Stephanie was exhausted from the move, and all of the unpacking made her extremely tired. There were so many things that still had to be done. She looked around and saw boxes that still needed to be put away. She spotted a small red box. She reached down and picked it up. With so many boxes she packed, she couldn’t remember exactly what was in that particular box. She ripped the tape off of the box and opened it. Tears started to fall from her eyes. She slowly reached in the box and remembered what she had packed in that box. The box was filled with tons of love letters from her boyfriend, cards, letters, flowers she saved from their first date, and tons of pictures—so many memories of the good times they’d had together.

She started to cry as she read through the letters and looked through the pictures. These are memories that she wished she could forget. She thought about just ripping them up and throwing them away. She took the box, taped it back up, and placed it back on the floor. She walked out of the room into her new bedroom and sat on her bed just thinking.

Since she was so tired from the move, she decided it was time to take a small nap and just forget about everything. She thought that maybe she would feel a little better after she woke up. As she slowly closed her eyes to fall asleep, she heard a knock on her door. Her heart started pounding; she sat up on her bed. She slowly and quietly walked toward the door, trying not to make any noise. She looked through the peephole on the door to see who was knocking.

    Chapter 3

    Inside%20book%20image.jpg

A strange male was standing on the other side of the door; he was holding an envelope in his hand. He knocked once more as he looked down at his watch to see the time. He waited a minute and walked outside toward his car.

Stephanie peeked through her blinds to watch him as he got into his car. She was curious to know who he was and what he wanted, but she was too afraid to open the door. His car drove off.

Stephanie walked back to the door and put the chain lock on the door. She was still nervous. So many thoughts raced through her head. Stephanie walked back toward her bedroom and grabbed her cell phone from the top of her dresser. She had two missed calls from an unknown caller.

She sat down on her bed. and her stomach was in knots. She felt so sick to her stomach. She knew who the calls were from. All of a sudden, her phone started to vibrate in her hands; she was frightened and jumped up. She looked at the phone, and it was a weird number. She wasn’t going to answer. She pressed the talk button and said hello.

It was a strange male’s voice on the other end.

She didn’t recognize the voice and asked who he was.

The man replied, Hello, Stephanie. My name is David Miller. I came by your apartment a couple of minutes ago to drop an envelope that was given to me by a man named—

Stephanie’s heart started pounding; she knew what name he was going to say. Excuse me, David, but how did you know where I live? Stephanie asked.

Well, I am a detective. It is my job to find people, the detective replied.

Stephanie didn’t know what to say. She was speechless. There was silence on the phone for a second.

Stephanie, are you still there? the detective asked.

    Chapter 4

Stephanie’s heart started pounding. She felt like she was going to have a panic attack. Stephanie took a deep breath and replied, Umm … yes. I’m still here. What is it exactly that you are looking for?

In a stern voice, the detective said, "Well, this is something that needs to be dealt with in person. I can’t discuss this over the
