About this ebook

There is no greater benefit to the human life than knowing and developing a relationship with God. There is peace and a sense of knowing who you are when you know God.

This book explains how Gods desire is for his people to get to know him and gives instructions on how to use the tools he has provided. Through the inspiration of the Holy Spirit, I want to share with you vital tools to use to develop a relationship with God. Although these tools are not new, they have somehow been overlooked and not emphasized as important as the earlier saints taught. We need a prayer life to communicate with God. We need to read and study the word of God to know his will for our lives and to really understand who he is. We must sacrifice, consecrate and separate our lives from things that would contaminate us from reaching him.

    Foreword

    Foreword by God

Thus saith the Lord, Let not the wise man glory in his wisdom, neither let the mighty man glory in his might, let not the rich man glory in his riches: But let him that glorieth glory in this, that he understandeth and knoweth me, that I am the Lord which exercise lovingkindness, judgment, and righteousness in the earth: for in these things I delight, saith the Lord. Jeremiah 9:23-24.

    Introduction

One Sunday morning during worship service as I was sitting near the choir section, as the Elders prepared to bring the service on live radio, I began to watch the praise team go forth and the people entering into the sanctuary. Some were praising God while others were just sitting and staring at the praise and worship leaders. Suddenly, the Holy Spirit quietly spoke to my spirit and said they don’t really know me. He said it in a way in which his heart was heavy and yearned to be connected with his people. He said they go through the same routine of coming to Sunday School, Sunday morning worship, Tuesday Bible Class and Friday Evangelistic services but they never truly received or search deep enough to know who I am. Many come in sick and broken hearted and leave the same way not even scratching the surface of how great, awesome, loving and powerful I am. I started to feel that there is more to this walk of faith than just going through the motions. I wanted to know how to be more intimate with God and experience his awesome wonder. I wanted to talk and walk with him as Abraham and Moses did. They had a strong relationship with God. In Isaiah 41:8 and II Chronicles 20:7, God called Abraham his friend.

In my quest to know God, the road has been rough and bumpy. You see, Satan doesn’t want us to know God so he will throw many obstacles in our way. He will try to make
