About this ebook

The cookery book project idea was brought forward by our first lady, Dr. Nkechi Enwerem and was embraced by Women Ambassador For Christ (WAFC) of TGM.

This is a project that is designed to showcase healthy African dishes and the processes involved in their preparation. With this in mind, TGM-WAFC came out with this cookery book to assist all lovers of African dishes to be able to prepare these dishes in the comfort of their homes by following the prescribed steps.

I pray and hope you will find our menus and recipes useful.

    FROM THE EDITOR

The bible mandated the older women to teach the younger women (Titus 2: 3-5). In our needs assessment we found that the younger generation of women eat out with their families. This finding crosses the boundary of religion and culture. This means that a larger proportion of this population eats junk food. Such foods are unhealthy to the body. This cookery book is designed to fill in this gap. The goal is to teach our younger women to prepare healthy food in their homes. There is an adage in Africa which says that the ‘road to a man’s heart is through his stomach’. Men are attracted to women who can cook delicious food in their homes.

Most of the items used in the preparation of the food found in this cookery book, can be procured from stores that sell African food.

In addition to equipping women to be better cooks, some of the proceeds from the sales of this book will be used to support Ministries. Please for this reason, do not copy any of the items published in this cookery book. Support God’s work by buying one or more books.

I am especially thankful to the Women Ministry (Women Ambassadors For Christ abbreviated as ‘WAFC’) of This Generation Ministries (TGM) who have come together to bring this cookery book into reality by investing their skills. I am also grateful to the Shepherd of ‘This Generation Ministries (TGM)’, Pastor Chidi Enwerem for his support and
