About this ebook

The book is primarily about Gods voice, Gods direction, Gods guidance, Gods protection, and deciphering Gods will for your life in these last days where there are many voices competing for our attention. There are those that teach God does not speak today. Then there are those that teach God speaks in many ways and in everything; nature, audible voices, circumstances etc. God spoke in the past, God speaks now, and God will be speaking for all eternity. From the time God spoke the world into existence to now, He has never stopped speaking to and through His creation and He will continue to speak throughout eternity. The question is how does He speak today, and who is listening? This book shows, from Scriptures, how to know the voice of the true and living God in these last days of confusion and deception. Our Lord warned us that the world would be characterized by deception in the last days according to 2nd Timothy 3:1,3; and also admonished that My sheep know my voice in John 10:27.

The Master’S Voice – Hearing and Heeding God’S Will for Your Life! - Winston Abrams

    Part A

GOD HAS SPOKEN – PAST (HE IS CAST OUT) REV. 12:7

    Chapter #1

    THE SOVEREIGN GOD OF

    CREATION AND THE FALL

I n the beginning of the Bible, we are told in Genesis 1:1: In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth. Actually, the first time we hear about anything or anyone chronologically, in the Bible is when we hear of Lucifer’s activities before he began a revolution in heaven. Ezekiel 28:12-19 states: Thus saith the Lord GOD; Thou sealest up the sum, full of wisdom, and perfect in beauty. Thou hast been in Eden the garden of God; every precious stone was thy covering, the sardius, topaz, and the diamond, the beryl, the onyx, and the jasper, the sapphire, the emerald, and the carbuncle, and gold: the workmanship of thy tabrets and of thy pipes was prepared in thee in the day that thou wast created. Thou art the anointed cherub that covereth; and I have set thee so: thou wast upon the holy mountain of God; thou hast walked up and down in the midst of the stones of fire. Thou wast perfect in thy ways from the day that thou wast created, till iniquity was found in thee. By the multitude of thy merchandise they have filled the midst of thee with violence, and thou hast sinned: therefore I will cast thee as profane out of the mountain of God: and I will destroy thee, O covering cherub, from the midst of the stones of fire. Thine heart was lifted up because of thy beauty, thou hast corrupted thy wisdom by reason of thy brightness: I will cast thee to the ground, I will lay thee before kings, that they may behold thee. Thou hast defiled thy sanctuaries by the multitude of thine iniquities, by the iniquity of thy traffick; therefore will I bring forth a fire from the midst of thee, it shall devour thee, and I will bring thee to ashes upon the earth in the sight of all them that behold thee. All they that know thee among the people shall be astonished at thee: thou shalt be a terror, and never shalt thou be any more. Then in Revelation 12:7 we are told more of his early activities: And there was war in heaven: Michael and his angels fought against the dragon; and the dragon fought and his angels and prevailed not; neither was their place found any more in heaven.

It is no coincidence that Lucifer’s activity before the rebellion is noted before any other activity of God in all of Scripture, for the theme of the Bible is creation, the fall and redemption. The problem with the world is sin and sin was introduced into creation by Lucifer. The solution for the world is Christ: Christ died to free mankind from the penalty of sin. Simply put the problem is sin and the solution is God. Glory Hallelujah. We are then told that God spoke everything in all creation into existence, in six (6) literal days, then rested on the seventh day – Genesis 2:2: And on the seventh day God ended His work which He had made; and He rested on the seventh day from all His work which He had made. God then created man from the dust of the earth, as Genesis 2:7 tells us: And the LORD God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul. God then put him in the Garden of Eden and gave him the following command: But of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, thou shalt not eat of it: for in the day that thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely die. Genesis 2:17 states the Lord then created Eve for Adam: And the LORD God caused a deep sleep to fall upon Adam, and he slept: and He took one of his ribs, and closed up the flesh instead thereof – Genesis 2:21. And the rib, which the LORD God had taken from man, made He a woman, and brought her unto the man. And Adam said, This is now bone of my bones, and flesh of my flesh: she shall be called Woman, because she was taken out of Man. Therefore shall a man leave his father and his mother, and shall cleave unto his wife: and they shall be one flesh – Genesis 2:24.

We first hear the serpent’s voice when he convinced Eve to disobey God. Genesis 3:1 states: Now the serpent was more subtle than any beast of the field which the LORD God had made. And he said unto the woman, Yea, hath God said, Ye shall not eat of every tree of the garden? The woman disobeyed God, then Adam disobeyed God, leading to the greatest fall of all. Notice that the loving voice of a caring Father – the voice I am sure they must have longed to hear – became the voice they hid from. The same is true of a backslidden Christian today. Genesis 3:8 says, And they heard the voice of the LORD God walking in the garden in the cool of the day: and Adam and his wife hid themselves from the presence of the LORD God amongst the trees of the garden. God pronounced judgment, then expelled Adam and Eve from paradise and literally cursed everything – including the serpent – in all creation: Therefore the LORD God sent him forth from the garden of Eden, to till the ground from whence he was taken. So, we see that the serpent influenced the woman to disobey God, the woman influenced the man to disobey God, and mankind is faced with the consequences for time and eternity.

We are told by the theologians that the aforementioned period is called the dispensation of Innocence. Dispensation simply means God’s dealings with a specific group of people at specific period in time. Some would rightly argue that the word dispensation is not in the Bible. The word Trinity is not in the Scriptures also, but we know the principle is there. We are told that God created man: Genesis 1:26,27; 2:7,25. And man quickly lost his Innocence: Genesis 3:7,7. Therefore man is now away from God and in need of help: Gen. 3:9,10. As a consequence, man is then expelled from the garden of Eden in judgment by God: Gen. 3:17-19; 3:22-24.

This period is followed by the dispensation of Conscience, where Adam and Eve’s son Cain murdered his brother Abel, because Abel offered a lamb and his sacrifice was accepted by the Lord, but Cain’s offering was rejected – Genesis 4:2-5. Now, not only is man’s heart defiled, but man’s conscience is also defiled – Gen. 6:5-7. Man is away from God again, once more – Gen. 6:11-13. God’s judgment now comes in the form of the flood – Gen 7:11-12, 23. This period is then followed by the dispensation of Government, where Noah worships God and receives the covenant and the responsibility to obey it – Gen 8:20-22. This only leads to personal disorder – Gen 9:20-23 and social disorder, as seen in Gen 11:1-4. God brings judgment again in the form of confusion of language at the tower of Babel.

This period is followed by the dispensation of Promise, when God called Abraham and give him many promises: Genesis 12:1-7; 13:14-17; 15:5. Abraham became impatient with God and could not wait for God to fulfill His promises, so he and his wife Sarah took matters into their own hands, Gen 16:2. Like father like son; Jacob follows in his father’s footsteps, Gen 27:19. God repeated the promises to his sons Isaac and Jacob, Gen. 26: 1-5; 28:10-15. Man is once again in his rebellious position, away from God, and disregarded His promises: Lot, Gen 13:10-13, Esau, Gen 25:31-34; 26:34,35, the sons of Israel, Gen 37:18-20. As can be predicted, God once again brought judgment in form of bondage in Egypt, Exodus 1:7-14; 2:23-25. God then heard the cry of His people – a loving and merciful God that cares for His stubborn and rebellious children. Exodus 3:7: And the LORD said, I have surely seen the affliction of my people which are in Egypt, and have heard their cry by reason of their taskmasters; for I know their sorrows. He then revealed himself to Moses and called him to go and be the instrument to be used to deliver the children of Israel from bondage. Moses saw the burning bush and the great I AM revealed himself to Him. Exodus 3:14: Thus shalt thou say unto the children of Israel, I AM hath sent me unto you. One author said it would have been so much easier for God to have allowed Moses to become Pharaoh, for that is what would have happened naturally, then used him to free the children of Israel. But the author goes on to intimate that had that happened, today we would be saying Moses freed the children of Israel. Due to how the Lord allowed it to play out, we today say The Lord freed the children of Israel and rightly so, for He alone deserves all glory, and honor and praise. Glory to His name! What a merciful God. Man is once again given another chance. Many say God is a God of second chances, but the reality is, God is a God of another chance, and another chance and another chance – indeed!

The dispensation of Law then commenced and Israel is commanded to keep the Law, Ex. 19:1-8. Man is commanded to obey, and promised to be blessed if obedient (Deut 7:11-15) and to be cursed for disobedience (Deut 78:11-20). I don’t have to tell you that they broke the law continually, Exodus 32:1-8. Man is again away from a loving God once more – Daniel 9:4-16. Israel is consequently in captivity to the Assyrians as a form of judgment from God, 2nd Kings 17:1-18. Judah is in captivity in Babylon for their rebellion, 2nd Kings 25:1-11. During the period from creation, to the fall of man, to the wanderings in the wilderness, a loving God has been calling his wayward and stiff-necked children back to repentance and fellowship. We can see the cycle: God creates man, and blesses man. When things are going good, man forgets and disobeys God; God judges and man repents. God forgives and blesses man again. Things are going good and once more, predictably, man forgets and disobeys God. God judges again, and the cycle continues. Sadly, we see the cycle of rebellion and disobedience repeated today, in our lives, in this dispensation of grace through faith. This author can only do like the children of Israel must have done every time God’s goodness was trampled upon – bow my head in disappointment and shame, and cry out for mercy. One author said that God will always judge when men sin just as He will always forgive when men confess and forsake. What a merciful God. What a merciful Savior. Glory Hallelujah!

GOD IS SPEAKING IN THE PRESENT – (IT IS FINISHED) HEB. 11:1

    Chapter #1

    THE SOVEREIGN GOD OF

    SALVATION AND GRACE

T he promised messiah made his appearance on the scene. He came to the very people that were expecting His arrival, and they did not recognize him nor accept him. Scripture says He came to His own and they received Him not, John 1:11. Matthew 1:18 tells us: "Now the birth of Jesus Christ was on this wise: When as his mother Mary was espoused to Joseph, before they came together, she was found with child of the Holy Ghost. Then Joseph her husband, being a just man, and not willing to
