My name is Darrel Mark Jackson, born 16th of October 1959 at Fairwood Hospital, Swansea. I am the only child of Darrel and Norma Jackson. I attended Cwmtawe Comprehensive School in Pontardawe. I began my working life at Craftdene furnishings and later Remploy for 28 years, before it closed. I began writing poems in August 1976, when I submitted a poem in a song writing competition, sadly I didn’t win anything, but I've never looked back and continued to write poems.
