Jesus Overcame Death

Jesus died for us!

But we see Jesus, who was mad a little lower than the angels, for the suffering of death crowned with glory and honor, that He by the grace of God, might taste death for everyone. In as much then as the children have partaken of flesh and blood, He Himself likewise shared in the same that through death He might destroy him who had the power of death, that is the devil and release those who through fear of death were all their lifetime subject to bondage. Hebrews 2:9, 14, 15

But God demonstrates His own love toward us in that while we were still sinners Christ died for us. Much more then having now been justified by His blood we shall be saved from wrath through Him. For if when we were enemies we were enemies we were reconciled to God through the death of His son much more having been reconciled we shall be saved by His life. And not only that but we also rejoice in God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom we have now received the reconciliation. Therefore just as through one man sin entered the world and death through sin and thus death spread to all men because all sinned. Romans 5: 8-12

For if by the one man’s offense death reigned through the one much more those who receive abundance of grace and of grace and of the gift of righteousness will reign in life through the One, Jesus Christ. Therefore, as through one man’s offense judgment came to all men, resulting in condemnation, even so through one Man’s righteous act the free gift came to all men, resulting in justification of life. For as by one man’s disobedience many were made sinners so also by Man’s obedience many will be made righteous. Romans 5:17-19

Knowing that Christ having been raised from the dead, die no more. Death no longer has dominion over Him. For the death that He died, He died to sin once for all but the life that He lives, He lives to God. Romans 6:9, 10

For I am persuaded that neither death nor life, nor angels nor principalities nor powers nor things present nor things to come nor height nor depth nor any other created thing shall be able to separate
