Straight to Heaven Poems - Nikolai Lisov
Russians
The only time Russians really speak, is when we all start to drink, a lot of us can be really crazy, but that doesn’t really amaze me, sometimes we like to fight, but after will still party all night, most of the time we try to be sneaky, but we really do like our whisky, my advice is don’t ever drink the Russian wine, cause if you do the next day you won’t be fine, not only do we like to drink, when we all get together we like to eat, especially if it’s been awhile since we had meat, sometimes we can be really nice, but during lent we always eat a lot of rice, I have to say Russian food is the bomb, especially if it’s cooked by your mom, our fun day is probably Sunday, but then back to work on Monday, I always hear why do we have big beards, that’s so weird, being a Russian is not always that cool, cause you still have to follow all the rules, some Russians are always judging, but most of them can be really loving, a lot of the old believers are really religious, but they’re really good at staying out of your business, the girls are not trying to impress, they just have to wear a dress, we’re not supposed to curse, and every weekend we all go to church, I know a lot of things happen behind closed doors, but we all still pray to the same lord.
