About this ebook

In this book I will be talking about what is faith and how faith works. Faith is a Spirit and Fear is also a Spirit; But in this book I want to talk about Supernatural Faith in a Supernatural God. Walking by Faith and not by Sight. Believing in the impossible because of the God that make all things possible if we believe. Supernatural Faith can be a life changing experience. Faith can be experience and not explain. I would be talking about stepping out on faith and having unperishable faith. The reason Im writing this book is to help build up our faith that we can experience the Supernatural Power of God in our lives. To testify to others that God can do the impossible in our lives by the power of having Faith in the word.

    ACKNOWLEDGMENTS

I want to take a moment to thank some amazing people who have helped me and inspired me to write this book. First I would like to honor and thank my pastor, Pastor Joseph M. Cook, and First Lady Hattie Cook for being awesome leaders or spiritual parents. I thank these two for living a Holy lifestyle and walking by faith and not by sight, being an example for me and my husband. Secondly, I want to thank my wonderful husband, Minister Rashawn Cook, for being such a great support and encouragement to writing this book. Finally, I want to thank two other people who have been such a blessing to have in my life. Sis Courtney Crudup, for all you have said and done to help this dream come to pass, thank you. Sis Yolanda Timmons, I thank you for such an inspiration you have been in my life since the day I met you. Your book inspired me to continue to write and to follow my dreams. Your book publishing and signing was something God used to open my eyes to believe. Thank you.

    CHAPTER 1

    What is Faith?

I am going to start this book off by answering this question: What is faith? The word faith in the Webster dictionary means a belief in value, truth, or trustworthiness of someone or something; belief and trust in God, the scriptures, or other religious writings. Faith is a complete trust in God, our creator. Faith is having a positive attitude of mind and heart by a person entrusts himself to God. In the good book the Bible, the scriptures (Hebrews 11:1) say, Now faith is the substance of things hope for, the evidence of things not seen. Basically it lets us know that faith is believing in the supernatural. Believing in the unseen realm of the spirit and also believing in the unseen God and His supernatural power and promises.

There are several types of faith that are mentioned in the Bible that I am going to talk about in this book. Though we cannot have faith and doubt because doubt is fear. Fear is the complete opposite of faith. So if we fear, we have a lack of trust in God, which is not faith. The spirit of faith should bring assurance and awareness of God’s unfailing love and provision that can sustain a person in all the circumstances of life. Notice I said spirit of faith. Faith is a spirit that God has bestowed upon us to receive the gift of salvation and His promises.

The first type of faith we experience is saving faith, believing in and having complete trust in Jesus Christ that we can be saved through Him. We must believe that He can make a person right with God through His death on the cross. This faith is used only for the means of salvation. Anybody and everybody can be saved and is available to this gift from God. Salvation is a gift that no one deserves by good behavior, and the like. But it’s because of God’s grace and mercy we can receive this gift by having faith in Jesus Christ our Savior. The second example of faith is supposed to be the way of life we as Christians should live. As Christians, we are supposed to live the life of faith. In Habakkuk 2:4, it says, The just shall live by faith. And also in 2 Corinthians 5:7, it says, We walk by faith not by sight. We are supposed to believe in God’s word and His promises.

We are to live wholeheartedly on the word of God. Galatians 2:16 says, Knowing that a man is not justified by the works of law, but by the faith of Jesus Christ, even we have believed in Jesus Christ, that we might be justified by faith of Christ, and not by the works of law; for the work of law shall no flesh be justified. When Jesus came, faith replaced the law. We shouldn’t be living by rules,
