ACKNOWLEDGMENTS
I would like to thank God for giving me the vision and story to be a voice for adolescents. I thank all my family, friends, and coworkers. Special thanks to my mother, Agnes Allen. She has been the driving force in my life since birth. Finally, I would like to thank everyone who supported me with the first Capers Middle School book.
Alvin Allen
I would like to give thanks to God Almighty for blessing me with the gift of being able to write and capture reality through the lens of our personal experiences. Secondly, I would like to send a special thanks to an individual who has showed me the power we possess in the realm of our hands through prayer. Indeed it was given to us through God, and we have the ability to do anything our imagination desires. Thank you to all my family and friends who have shown their continued support and blessings for this project.

Capers Middle School
Second Nine Weeks
The Triangle
Ms. Jennings allows me to go to the restroom to clean my clothes. For some odd reason, the hallway is dead silent. It feels like a scene from the show The Walking Dead. There’s no one walking, talking, or even standing in the hallway. This is extremely unusual for Capers. It feels like some sort of scary movie in which I am waiting for the killer to jump out and scare me to death. Ugh, I have a terrible feeling that something strange is about to occur. My stomach begins to ache. It feels like thousands of worms are swirling around inside of me. The restroom door is about one hundred feet away from the cafeteria, but it seems like it’s taking me two hours to reach it! When I get to the restroom, the door swings open. I walk inside, and guess who is standing in the corner? Yes, it’s Lajuana, the bully! She has an intense look on her face. I begin to realize that this is all a setup to get me to the restroom. The time has finally come to face my biggest fear.
