CHAPTER 1
Fitting In
There was a girl named Vanessa. She was a very beautiful and nice teenage girl. She was eighteen years old and on her way to boarding school. School was around the corner. Summer was almost over, and she wanted to make that summer last forever.
Vanessa only had two best friends—Faith and Jessica—and the three girls went to the same boarding school. They were going to be roommates. They went to their favorite mall, Girls’ Glamour, to go shopping where all teenage girls and mothers loved to shop. Some items were very expensive. Vanessa, Faith, and Jessica were shopping for fashionable clothes and supplies for school.
They were at the mall trying on clothes in the changing rooms.
This is amazing! I can totally wear this dress on the first day of school,
Jessica said.
Vanessa smiled. That’s cute, but make sure it’s not too short.
They all laughed.
Jessica asked sarcastically, Who are you, my mother?

said Vanessa.
They all took out their wallets and bought all of their clothes and school supplies.
They were so happy they finally got to go to school. They wanted to be in relationships, receive their education, and get jobs—hopefully.
It was finally the end of summer. Vanessa, Jessica, and Faith were at Vanessa’s house getting ready for the first day of school.
Girls, are you ready?
Mrs. Bryan asked. We should hurry up, so I can drive you to school.
Vanessa said, Mom, I know. I’m coming. We’re already ready anyway.
Mrs. Bryan walked down the stairs, grabbed her car keys from her purse, and went to the car. Vanessa, Jessica, and Faith were sitting in the car, enjoying their car ride to school.
After arriving, Vanessa looked up toward the sky as her eyes scanned to the top of the school building. Wow! This school is huge and beautiful,
she said.
Faith came beside her and looked up at the school. There aren’t any boys; looks like there are only girls here.
Vanessa’s eyes got big with surprise. She went up to her mom and said, You never told me this was an all-girls school!
What’s wrong with an all-girls school?
asked Mrs. Bryan.
Vanessa was rolling her eyes at her. What’s wrong? There are no guys here—that’s what’s wrong. Come on, Mom. Who registered me here at this boarding school?
Mrs. Bryan crossed her arms. "You
