      Christmas Promise

      Snowflakes drifting down on me

      So beautiful in their fragility.

      They glisten, sparkle, then melt away.

      They are too beautiful to stay.

      Listen to the carols play

      Heralding that special day.

      The beautiful sounds that fill the air

      When Christmas passes, no longer there.

      Lights that glimmer, glow and dance

      Within the Evergreen’s scented branch.

      The Ornaments that catch the eye

      After Christmas the tree will wither, dry.

      Christmas presents are wrapped and hugged

      And by little hands the ribbons tugged.

      The wrappers will be swept away

      And presents forgotten after Christmas day.

      The feelings held fast within our heart

      For the Baby that gave Christmas it’s
