About this ebook

Snapshots of Judy-ism: Part 2 has four focuses: one, to bring awareness to the Christian, to the Gentile, and to the Jew of the boundaries and borders (not barriers) upon which the Torahs Seven Laws of Noah and their sixty-six extrapolations expound; two, to bring attention to the rate of voluntary Jewish apostatizing to Christianity as compared to the last two thousand years of mandatory conversion; three, to bring consciousness to the nature of anti-Semitism first expounded in Snapshots of Judy-ism: Part 1; and four, Christianity via Judaism.

With hope that both Christian and Jew will open their hearts to this writers rhetoric, Judith crosses over into the Twilight Zone, so to speak, with correspondence initiated by Saul of Tarsus, who was the prime mover in what would become the religion of Christianity.

To Grandma Ethel Mintz Solomon,OBM who told me, And so what! when I complained about Judaism’s intellectual demand, and to my dear parents, Paul and Hilda Solomon.OBM As well, to those I no longer on my Sabbath and holidays converse with by telephone or travel or join in non-kosher dining, who championed me in my endeavor to come home to Torah Judaism.

Please note certain vocabulary in this book. Therefore, to avoid casualness and to respect the awe and love, the dash is inserted for the words Al-mighty, G-d, L-rd, or the Hebrew Ha-Shem.

Pronouns she and her refer to Jewry and Israel. Torah is used rather than Old Testament. Israel is for the whole of Jewry. The Hebrew word Shoa is for the Holocaust. Abbreviations NT, BCE and CE are for New Testament, Before Common Era and Common Era, respectively, in place of the Latin BC and AD. Nazarene, Galilean, carpenter, son/god designate the Christian deity.

    CHAPTER I

PROLOGUE—THERE IS AN EMPIRICAL G-D AFTER ALL

This book focuses on four sentiments:

¤ Torah’s Seven Laws of Noah

¤ Christendom’s urge to merge the Nation of Jewry to Christianity

¤ The rate of contemporary Jewish apostatizing to Christianity

¤ Further exploration of the nature of anti-Semitism (first introduced in Snapshots of Judy-ism, Part 1)

Before embarking on the above topics, presented are the following three wonders of the world:

One: If the Al-mighty did not ordain Torah, the wonder then as to that little old man thousands of years ago sitting in his tent in the Middle East desert, writing about the entire animal kingdom housing no other category of animal other than four non-kosher land animals: the camel, the hyrax, the hare, and the pig, either having the kosher benchmark of the extra stomach or the split hoof. All other non-kosher animals, e.g., lion or bear have no kosher criteria! Hence, no explorer since has discovered an additional category of animal that either ruminate their food or display a cloven hoof (e.g., the cow or deer has both kosher yardsticks).

Two: The episode at the foot of Mount Sinai circa 1312 BCE whilst six hundred thousand men between the ages of twenty and sixty, in addition to their families and all previous and future souls, received their Torah.

Three: Much of humanity, to whom the Al-mighty initially offered the Torah and its rejection of it, recognized collective Jewry’s ordained status.

The Israelite anticipated redemption and the Al-mighty, in kind, redeemed him from Egyptian bondage. So too, the Almighty anticipates the Jew to repair the world through the 613 Laws of Torah and the non-Jew through the Seven Laws of Noah.

    CHAPTER II

    THE SEVEN LAWS OF NOAH

What separates Judaism from other nations’ religions is its Law. Without the Law, any religious group’s My tales are better than your tales can be taken with a grain of salt.

Freedom and Law are the two foci of human existence in time and history.¹ Torah’s Seven Laws² are just those deliberations and parameters to free up humanity and, by default, bring on the era of the Messiah.

Torah does not require the non-Jew to convert to Judaism because it already provides him with the freedom of boundaries and borders (not barriers) through the Seven Laws of Noah. However, several of these laws were religiously ignored, and instead, tucked into the secular laws of many lands. In place of Noah’s laws, Christology inculcated the Ten Commandments meant for only the nation of Jewry. Even so, the non-Jew, with a religious longing for something more, might
