First and foremost, I would like to thank God for all that he has done for me. God told me a long time ago that he gave me all the tools that I needed but I never really understood what that meant, until I was forced to look at what mattered most to me. The subject of youth is one that touches my heart because I believe they are the most over looked group in society. When you look around there is no strong role model that sets a good example for the youth to follow.

I know how it feels to be lost, confused and searching for answers. Practical prayers for the youth of today is a pray guide that enables and equips youth with what they need from day to day. When we start our days, and go into the world we need a protective shield that covers us from the fiery darts of the enemy.

The prayers that I have written are practical, useful and will strengthen and empower youth to have that confidence with God that will activate their faith to see God’s miracles.

Secondly, I would like to thank my mother who is a strong, inspirational, encouraging woman who has supported me and lifted me up to a point where I can stand on my own. The greatest gift my mother has given me is the freedom to love God and form my own relationship with him and for that I thank you.

And last, but definitely not least I would like to thank my Bishop and mentor ‘Kingsley Joshua’ for allowing me to grow and express myself freely without shame. Whatever questions I posed or battles I’ve come up against, my bishop has shown me the true love of God and never forsaken me. I believe in my heart that as stubborn or as wild as I could have gone he has always kept me in his prayers. One thing my bishop has always said to me is the greatest gift I have ever received was knowing God at such a young age and having that relationship with him. This is the gift I want to give back to the youth of today. May you be blessed using these daily confessions over your life.

Always remember to put God first.
