I lay awake, thoughts flowing through my mind,

Reality sets in; I’m running out of time.

My life has been difficult, but no excuse to fail,

Guidance from my Lord covers my life with a veil.

Like a first-time bride, making the biggest decision of her life,

Not sure if she should go on, not knowing if it’s right.
