About this ebook

Revelations is a result of years of disciplined study of Gods Word, a result of intimacy with Jesus, a result of intimate time in the Word from God, the Word in Carol and her in the Word.

This devotion is a culmination of years of growth from private time spent daily in Gods presence allowing Jesus, the Word made flesh, to rule over the evil nature within, thus allowing the Word of God to be King and Lord.

His work began in 1989 as Carol poured her heart out, quietly journaling and giving expression to her feelings, while being alone with the Word. With pen in hand and blank paper waiting, she gained revelation about evils fleshly nature within, the principalities, powers, and rulers without, and about Jesus, the Word, Who is the Revealer of all Truth.

From the feelings in her heart, to the thoughts in her mind, to where the pen met the paper, she gained discernment. By expressing her heart in light of the Word of Truth, with the Word of Truth filtering her thoughts and prayers, she discerned her way, aligned her heart and mind with Truth, lived life according to the Truth, and then learned how to pray a right prayer according to the Truth.

Carol was miraculously filled with the Spirit 34 years ago after God led her husband to take his family to church. One evening after putting her children to bed, she was alone in worship when God’s presence met her in a mighty way! She felt a stirring begin in her innermost being. She explains that it was the feeling one gets in their stomach when one goes down a hill quickly. The stirring stayed while increasing to such a degree that it felt like a fire in her inner being, “Like a fire shut up in her bones!” (Jeremiah 20:9) That stirring fire was so intense that she wanted to say, “I cannot take it anymore!” but dared not hinder His work and presence, which lasted all night. Oh, the joy was unspeakable! She said, “The experience was such a tangible point of knowing for certain that God is real, and His very present Spirit is the ultimate satisfaction that this life craves!” The first time Carol heard the Lord speak to her was early one morning; upon awakening, she heard Him say, “Give me all of your cares.” Her first revelation came early one morning upon awakening; before fully conscious, God dropped this acronym in her spirit for “The Gospel” - True Humility Expressed, God’s Own Son Provided Eternal Life.” Since then, her heart was tuned to the Spirit’s frequency. She held a Fitness Training and Fitness therapy certification with the International Sports Science Association (ISSA) and has personally trained many clients and held fitness seminars to share her conviction of stewardship and health for God’s people. She has appeared on Daystar Television discussing “Discipline for Life, a fitness ministry to address God’s will for His people to be physically, mentally, and spiritually disciplined. Carol has a firm conviction for the stewardship of the health that God has provided His children through His covenant blessing. “By His stripes, we were healed” means that Jesus’ stripes took the punishment for the sinful nature, and through the healing of that sinful nature, through His covenant promise, and by His Spirit’s power, His children can live and move and have their being in the health He intended. The word of the Lord came to her saying, “Many of my people are sick because they do not take care of themselves.” The spiritual, mental, and physical health of God’s promise is a stewardship! He is sought at the altar of prayer for healing, yet His people fail to produce the fruit of self-control and continue to walk away from His wisdom and walk out of His provision with every bite and decision to remain idle. She lays blame squarely on the tongue; it truly is a world of iniquity that ruins one’s health if not tamed. She believes that His children should do their best to maintain health yet understands that in this troubled world there is sickness and physical death. Upon death, she wants to hear her Lord say, “Well done.” Carol was born in Denton, Texas, in 1962 and grew up in Ponder, Texas. She has been married for 36 years and has three children. They homeschooled for nine years before moving to Katy, Texas, and is now blessed with two beautiful grandchildren. She is a credentialed minister with the South Texas Assemblies of God and a Commissioned Colson Fellow.

    INTRODUCTION

    Revelations is the result of the Word dwelling richly within me, a result the Word that built faith in my heart which is pleasing to God, and a result of the unfolding Word that burned in my soul and needed expression. With the many scriptures quoted are the Greek and Hebrew meaning with some including their root meaning in order to unfold the richness and preciseness of God’s Word. The wisdom of the Almighty has hemmed me in, in such a way, that writing is my avenue of expression.

    This devotional is my testimony of the Many other things Jesus has done. I am His disciple and this is my testimony of the Truth which He has revealed to my heart. He has opened my eyes to see, my ears to hear, and my heart to understand His Word. I pray others will believe in Him as a result of my testimony of Jesus, the Word made flesh, Who overcomes and takes away the sin of whosoever will accept Him.

    This is the disciple who is testifying to these things and wrote these things, and we know that his testimony is true. And there are also many other things which Jesus did, which if they were written in detail, I suppose that even the world itself would not contain the books that would be written. (John 21:24–25)

    And he who has seen has testified, and his testimony is true; and he knows that he is telling the truth, so that you also may believe. (John 19:35)

    Jesus, first Baptized in order to fulfill all righteousness, then shed His blood to pay for the sin of the world, is now present in Spirit to empower those who follow Him in all righteousness. God gave me eyes to see His Word, ears to hear His Word, and a heart to receive His Word. I believe His Word, meditate on His Word, apply His Word, speak His Word, and now I go to share His Word.

    Jesus, the Word, now Spirit, possess has all power, rule, and authority over any other word. His Word discerns every heart and intent. His Word will endure for eternity. His Word is true. His Word teaches and instructs. His Word has the final say. His Word is the very promise of salvation. Jesus is the Word made flesh! I am His disciple, who testifies to this Word written, the Word that is truth, the Word that is victorious over every lie, the Word that speaks forever, the Word that endures to the end, and of the Word that became flesh and dwells among us! I have truly been smitten with love from above and my desire is to share His Truth, intimacy, and love with whosoever is willing to receive Him.

    One day my daughter, Emri, asked me, What would you do if you could do anything? After a thoughtful heart search, my reply was, I want to pen every God given revelation of my Lord Jesus Christ, the Word that causes a heart to be holy as He is holy. I want to share the Truth that will set hearts free as it did mine. I want to testify of God’s Word at work in my life and the revelation of Truth that rules over the enemy’s binding lies. By penning my revelation of Jesus Christ, I am fulfilling the great commission to go share the GOSPEL— the Good news, that God’s Own Son Provided Eternal Life [Copy write GOSPEL by Carol Bass] with whosoever will believe His Word and receive this great salvation revealed in God’s Word.

    I never imagined that I would have so many words of expression then, the Word of the Lord came to me! Twenty eight years ago I began this walk of faith after catching a glimpse of His glory! In a miraculous way His Spirit filled my innermost being and brought new Life to me. This new life set me on fire purifying and cleansing my hell bent soul. He has endued me with power from on high with a burning desire to go and share my revelation of Jesus Christ, whose name is the Word of God, which has freed my heart and mind and instructs me along the path of eternal life!

    I began this audible relationship with the God of heaven by drawing near Him. I drew near Him by rising earlier than my three children, who I homeschooled at the time, and would pour my heart out by journaling.

    Faithfully, at the same time every morning, I disciplined myself to meet with Him in the Word. No matter what, I would give the first part of my day to the Almighty, whose Spirit had gone before me to prepare me for the day. During this time of prayer I would write the praise song in my heart, I would empty my heart of concerns and worry, and then pray for needs. Through is method I discovered the words that formed in my mind, passed through to discern my heart, which was lit with God’s Spirit, then those thoughts written became a right prayer. Through the writing process the Holy Spirit took what was in my heart and mind to line them up with Truth. I was faithful and very protective of this Holy habit because through it, He gave peace in my heart, strength over my flesh, and wisdom in my response to life. No matter what, I would have my time with the Lord! Journaling early in the morning and in stillness, I was able to, discern the way of my flesh, discern the way of God, pray aright, and was strengthened to line my flesh up with His will.

    After years of taking time to know Him, I trust Him with all my heart and He reveals His heart to me. Because of this time spent becoming familiar and knowing His ways, I feel His heart’s reaction in situations and circumstances. I am His disciple and I continue in His Word! I go sharing the good news! I go to strengthen the hands that are weak, the knees of the feeble and to encourage the exhausted, saying to those with anxious hearts, Take courage, and fear not. Behold your God will come, He will save you!

    I pray for every soul to receive a revelation of the Word of God.

    I pray that God to be glorified as His Spirit —Wind, breath, breathed Word of Truth — penetrates the heart, soul, and mind to expose deception.

    I pray for Truth to enter the thought, emotion, will, and conscience to empower and release the soul.

    I pray God’s extended invitation of Love be received in order to spend eternity in His Kingdom which resides within, a Kingdom of righteousness, peace, and joy where the Word of God —Jesus— is King and Lord.

    I pray for His power and authority to be given sovereign reign, in the mighty name of Jesus. Amen!

    DO NOT QUENCH THE SPIRIT

    Brethren,

    "Appreciate those who diligently labor among you, and have charge over you in the Lord and give you instruction and that you esteem them very highly in love because of their work. Live in peace with one another. Admonish the unruly, encourage the fainthearted help the weak, be patient with everyone. See that no one repays another with evil for evil, but always seek after that which is good for one another and for all people.

    Rejoice always; pray without ceasing; in everything give thanks; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.

    Do not quench the Spirit;

    [Don’t suppress, stifle divine influence. Spirit/Wind/Breath God’s power and agency — distinguishable in thought from God’s essence in itself considered — "manifest in the course of affairs, and by its influence upon souls productive in the theocratic body, the church, of all the higher spiritual gifts and blessings; His efficiency in the prophets]

    Do not despise prophetic utterances.

    [To make of no account the gifts and utterances of these prophets prophetic: discourse emanating from divine inspiration and declaring the purposes of God, whether by reproving and admonishing the wicked, or comforting the afflicted, or revealing things hidden; especially by foretelling future events.] [Take seriously Jesus, the Word when revealed to your heart...C.B.]

    But examine everything carefully;

    [To test, examine, prove, scrutinize, to see whether a thing be genuine or not, as metals]

    hold fast to that which is good;

    [Good, excellent in its nature and characteristics, and therefore well adapted to its ends, morally good.];

    abstain from every form of evil.

    [Stay away from, properly, to have one thing by separating from, letting go of, another. Bad, wicked, malicious, and slothful.]"

    (1 Thessalonians 5:1222)

    Father, God of peace, thank You for giving me the power of Your Spirit to fulfill Your will, to obey Your Word, and to follow Your instruction which will sanctify me entirely.

    Because of the power of Your Spirit, let my spirit, soul, and body be preserved complete, without blame at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.

    Faithful are You who called me, so I know, by faith, that You will bring my sanctification and preservation to pass. In Jesus name, so be it!

    MORAL CONDUCT

    Church,

    May we know how we ought to conduct ourselves [to walk, of the manner of life and moral character] in God’s Household [All the persons forming on family], which is the Church of the living God, [Those called out from the world and to God, the mystical body of Christ], the pillar of Truth [Support, column, Divine truth revealed],

    and the support of Truth [The base, which ultimately supports the foundation itself, Divine truth revealed].

    By common confession, great is the mystery [What can only be known through revelation]

    of godliness [One’s inner response to the things of God].

    Jesus was revealed [Manifest in the flesh].

    Jesus was vindicated [Shown to be righteous by the Spirit].

    Jesus was seen by angels [Appeared after resurrection to the apostles, His messengers, to whom He appeared after His resurrection].

    Jesus was proclaimed among the nations [Public proclamation of the gospel, always with a suggestion of formality, gravity, and an authority which must be listened to and obeyed].

    Jesus was believed on in the world, [The faith by which a man embraces Jesus, i. e. a conviction, full of joyful trust, that Jesus is the Messiah — the divinely appointed author of eternal salvation in the kingdom of God, conjoined with obedience to Christ].

    Jesus was taken up in glory. [Receive up, take in, take up.]

    (1 Timothy 3:15–16)

    Father, let Your Holy fire of conviction burn moral conviction in Your Church, that we be Jesus’ light in the darkness. Help us know how to conduct ourselves and how to fit properly into Your household. May we be built up from the foundation of Jesus Christ to go reveal the mystery of the Gospel that You be glorified on this earth, in Jesus name, so be it!

    THE TRUTH

    I’ve learned the Bible is The Truth, as it precisely and accurately depicts and addresses man’s fallen/human nature and God’s Holy nature.

    For the Word of God is living and active and sharper than any two-edged sword, and piercing as far as the division of soul and spirit, of both joints and marrow, and able to judge the thoughts and intentions of the heart. And there is no creature hidden from His sight, but all things are open and laid bare to the eyes of Him with whom we have to do. (Hebrews 4:12–13)

    Now the deeds of the flesh are evident, which are: immorality, impurity, sensuality, idolatry, sorcery, enmities, strife, jealousy, outbursts of anger, disputes, dissensions, factions, envying, drunkenness, carousing, and things like these, of which I forewarn you, just as I have forewarned you, that those who practice such things will not inherit the kingdom of God. But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control; against such things there is no law. Now those who belong to Christ Jesus have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires. (Galatians 5:19–24)

    Father, thank You for Your Word which clearly opens my ears to hear and my eyes to see who You are and thank You for showing me who I am. Reveal to my heart the manifest works of my flesh which are not pleasing to You. Grant to my heart the sorrow that will lead me to true repentance so that I will not be harmed in any way, in Jesus mighty name, so be it!

    ANGER

    The anger we exhibit when things do not go our way is telling of our need to control.

    We must trust that God is in control! If allowed, He will use circumstances to mold and conform us into His image. We must not sin by doubting Him, but must be patient and wait to see His finished work.

    We must be conscious of our conscience and of our thought process while always tending consequences of anger in the spirit realm and rely on His Spirit for power and His Word for assurance.

    But everyone must be quick to hear, slow to speak and slow to anger; for the anger of man does not achieve the righteousness of God. (James 1:19–20)

    Casting all your anxiety on Him, because He cares for you. Be of sober spirit, be on the Your adversary the devil, [from where the anger, doubt and fear originate] prowls around like a roaring lion, seeking someone to devour. But resist him, firm in your faith. (1 Peter 5:7–9)

    Submit therefore to God. Resist the devil and he will flee from you. (James 4:7)

    Father, I yield my heart to You and I resist this devil nature, with its anger, that works within. I ask that Your Spirit empower and cleanse me of this unrighteousness. Instead of being anxious, I will trust, knowing that You see my heart’s need to bear the fruit of Your indwelling presence. I yield to Your Word that dwells richly within to build faith, knowing that You are doing a work in my heart for Your Glory. In Jesus name, so be it!

    TONGUES OF FIRE

    Therefore, as a tongue [Devouring] of fire. As the fire consumes stubble and dry grass collapses into the flame, so their root will become like rot and their blossom blow away as dust for they have rejection the law of the Lord of host and despised the Word of the Holy One of Israel (Isaiah 5:24)

    Woe [I will ease Me of My adversaries, especially preparatory to a declaration of judgment.] to those who drag iniquity with the cords of falsehood and sin as if with cart ropes;

    Woe to those who say, "Let Him [God)] make speed, [Figurative of calamity] let Him hasten His work that we may see it; and let the purpose of the Holy One of Israel draw near. [Those who doubt or question His return]

    Woe to those who call evil [ethical] good [ethical] and good evil.

    and valiant men in mixing strong drink,

    [Strong drink is a brawler - boisterous, turbulent]

    Who justify the wicked for a bribe and take away the rights of the ones who are right!

    (Isaiah 5:18–24)

    May we accept Jesus, the Word of God become flesh, the manifestation of God’s promise, the One who took God’s eternal judgment of fire which is distributed among us in order to burn away the worthlessness of this flesh, as no flesh will glory in His sight. His Holy Spirit’s fire will burn away the wood, hay, and stubble, taking away our Woes [Woe: I will ease Me of My adversaries, especially preparatory to a declaration of judgment.] and will leave us purified, able to exist eternally in His presence.

    May we welcome the fiery Spirit of God with which Jesus baptizes in order to burn
