About this ebook
This trilogy—Be a Blessing, Be Whatever It Takes, and Be Excellent—is a series of inspirational guidance that will catapult anyone to the next level in whatever it is our heart yearns for, but only if we are willing to receive it.
Society stipulates that you cannot do this or that, that you’re not smart enough, that you’re not good enough, or that you are not the right fit. But through whose focal point are we looking to see who we really are?
Through the series of events in the history of my life, this is my story of courage, will, and strength. Although kicked down and stricken with many illnesses and challenges, there is always a fight in you. If we want something different to happen in our life, we will have to be willing to do something different to get it!
Here’s the thing—we live on borrowed time. The excellent creator whom orchestrated our success story didn’t just put us on this earth without guidance. He has gifted mankind with a blueprint that will take work in obedience to obtain it. Success is spelled W-O-R-K!

FOREWORD
M any of us strive our lives away seeking unreachable achievements, often missing the true value in our very temporary earthly existence. We are easily drawn to follow society’s path, only to experience the bitter irony that seeking material goals motivates us in unhealthy, even undesirable ways at the sacrifice of the true wealth this amazing life has to offer. We exchange this true wealth for a few pennies worth of existence. There are those few who live and demonstrate a better way, and it is always a great pleasure when our path intersects with contrarians to this fate.
I’ve found Gloria to be such a soul, with ideas and enthusiasm worthy of sharing. Her trilogy shows that a strong personal relationship with a higher power anchors us, allowing us to find ourselves less often distracted by temporary circumstances and focus on the important – the permanent – to the betterment of all in an ailing world.
Yes, there is a better way and it’s available to all who seek it. May you find the genuine, better YOU through the knowledge shared in BE Excellent and through YOUR own higher power relationship. Blessings to you.

BE EXCELLENT TRILOGY
T he word excellent is originated from the Latin language excellere
which means being preeminent or outstanding.
The first thing that should probably come to mind is that there is no room for mediocrity or so-so! Absolutely nothing less than the BEST! That has to be true when we’re dealing with a life and death situation.
A doctor in an emergency room when a patient is wheeled in from a major car accident while being updated on the status of the situation has no time to be thinking of anything else but the life of the individual that is awaiting their help to revive them from whatever type of trauma has inflicted them.
Their focus then is to do everything in their power to save that life. There is a specific time frame that you are now working with that’s going to make all the difference in the world. We are knocked into a place where the rubber will eventually meet the wall and our actions will only result in how we decided to quickly think on our toes to remedy the crisis. That is the way we should be looking at the good news or salvation that we have in Christ.
When we state that God is excellent; how then do we show that he is? It is only by how we live
our life!
Psalm 34:8(NKJV)
Oh, taste and see that the Lord is good; blessed is the man who trusts in him!
The bible references the word taste
to see that the Lord is good. It is when we as believers speak or share of the goodness of God through the miracles, signs and wonders that our lives have experienced. We proceed to grow in our faith because we are now in a state of gratefulness for his grace that is sufficient through our daily conditions.
Therefore, we must strive to portray the picture showing everyone that as we speak of our victorious outcomes in life they can now taste how good God is. When we see a commercial on television or a billboard where the picture is clear of a juicy hamburger or T-bone steak with shrimp, our mouths begin to water as we see because it’s as if we then begin to taste.
That is the clarity you and I must be showing all around us when we are telling of the things that God has done!
Every moment of our life we are gifted with the opportunity to give hope to many. We don’t ever know why events occur in our everyday routine of life but when it’s before us; it’s critical that we seize it.
Initially in the series of books that I have written which started with a mere thought of just accomplishing a task of being able to become an author changed in the course of writing as God is now the source of my focus.
We can set out with plans of our own but keep in mind that there is a master planner that already wrote our story from start to finish.
Jeremiah 29:11(NIV)
For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord,
plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.
He will turn our mess into a message and our test into a testimony but only if we let him. He will never force himself on us. He has given us another gift of freewill.
Libraries today are filled with every kind of book that we can pick and choose to our liking. We usually want to gain knowledge and understanding in something that we are studying. Many will find books to read for guidance whether it be for do it yourself auto mechanics, home-improvements, self-motivation, spiritual inspiration, personal pleasures or just something to pass time.
The bestseller and number one book on the shelves from the past to present is still the bible. The reason for that is that everything we can possibly think of is already written in that one book. From the beginning of time to now we still think that we have invented things. If and when we decide to read and study the bible we will find a rude awakening. Everything then is what we see now.
There is jealousy and murder from the story of Cain and Abel, incest in the story of Noah, betrayal in the story of Joseph and the list goes on and on. Many great men and women whom overcame great tragedies and others not so lucky as Judas and Samson to name a few. There isn’t anything new
under the sun.
Ecclesiastes 1:9(KJV)
The thing that hath been, it is that which shall be; and that which is done is that which shall be done: and there is no new thing under the sun.
Humanity tries to substitute one for the other. It’s our human nature to try and reinvent something that is already there in hopes to make a name for ourselves. We don’t even need to labor for some of the things today because others that have gone on have already done it for us.
John 4:38 (NKJV)
I sent you to reap that for which you have not labored; others have labored and you have entered into their labors.
Whatever way I chose to start this path it has unfolded into an extensive spectrum of substantial purpose and there is no return. I am no longer that lost and
