Godly Option for Relationships

The writing of Godly option for relationships was inspired by my continues search of the scriptures. My Bible tells me that grace and peace is multiplied through the knowledge of God and of Jesus our Lord .. 2 Peter 1: 2 and I’m surely in desperate need of the grace of God for ministry.

The more I searched the scriptures the more I understood the operations of the kingdom of God. Godly option gave a glimpse of how eternal life operates, how God’s word takes on flesh when it meets with faith in the spirit of the hearer. There are certain truth in God’s word too deep to share with those not matured enough to receive them. Godly option for relationships was able to bring the word in simple terms for easy understanding of deep things. It is worth stating that the challenges faced by most believers are most cases down to lack of depth in the word.

At a time when sexual perversion, immorality and divorces are so rampant in the body of Christ, godly option for relationships could be the scriptural guide for those in search of the right option and direction.

My mentor Bishop David Oyedepo was quoted in several parts of this text and I thank God for such a great man that God has privileged us to have in the body of Christ at such a time as this.

My new birth was in 1985, under a Baptist Church minister, Rev Akapkoro of blessed memory. His ministry was so challenging you want nothing to do with sin or the devil.

I’m married to Mrs Eguono Charity Usikaro and have four children and three grandchildren. They are Okeoghene Nehemiah, Ochuko Joseph, Oghenemarho Faith and Oghenetega David Usikaro. My grandchildren are Ellion, Johan and Ovie. We have had 37 blissful years of marriage and have not had an occasion to settle any quarrel. Don’t misunderstand me, there are a few times we disagreed over a few things because we are no dummies but it has never degenerated into quarrels. Indeed she is one person God has used to support me and the ministry over the years. She was there from the very beginning and she is still here doing her utmost for God’s work which is committed into my hands. My children are also very wonderful. My family is one versatile Choir for Jesus made up of singers, drummers and Keyboardists.

I was called into ministry 5 May 1996. Two weeks later, I registered in the Living Faith Bible school the Word of Faith Bible School, Kaduna, Nigeria. Soon after graduation I was posted out as an assistant pastor and have been preaching the gospel of Jesus Christ ever since with impact and notable signs and wonders.

With my commissioning into ministry under the ministry of Bishop David Oyedepo of the Living Faith Church Worldwide (Winners Chapel) I went through a versatile word based and well balanced ministry where I grew through the ranks. I later taught in the Bible School, Planting Churches and taught in many marriage seminars supporting and restoring broken marriages to the glory of God.

My elder brother Bishop Abraham Usikaro is the presiding bishop of New Jerusalem Christian Centre UK. He is another great teacher of God’s word with great passion for the Lord. On my arrival in UK in 2003, he encouraged me to work with him in his ministry. I obliged and served under him from 2003 till 2016 (12 ½ years) when the Holy Spirit prompted me it’s time to start the work He committed into my hands since 1996.

This led to the inauguration of the Covenant Faith Ministries Int’l on 7 May 2016 in London UK. The Church is barely 2 years old but God has proved He is committed to the covenant on which the vision is based. In my encounter with the Holy spirit on that faithful day that the mandate was delivered, God by His spirit took me to Isaiah 48: 9- 17. Go, teach my people to profit through the word of faith. The effect and tangible results achieved by the ministry within the short span is a pointer that God’s hand is mightily involved.

The Usikaro’s family now have five pastors of which I’m privilege to be the first, called of God. This was followed by Bishop Usikaro, Rev Cannon Theophilus Usikaro of the Anglican Church, Pastor Okeoghene Usikaro (my eldest son) and Pastor Michael Usikaro of the Baptist Church. We are a priestly family by the special grace of God. Hebrew 5:4 says no man taketh this honour unto himself except him that is called as in the order of Aaron. I strongly believe more priests will
