Hello, my name is Richard Shine. I am a writer. I was born and raised in poverty and still in poverty. I live in Charleston SC. I was moved from NY as a child. I attended Baptist Hill High School. I finished in 1977 and in 1982 I became a writer. Why? Because of poverty, it became my way to escape all misery. I have been writing ever since and now I have books up to my ears. The word is out and on the street

Homeless people are still bare feet

Some don’t even have food to eat and

Where there is no will

There will be no way.

Every day of every hour

We need more power

Every minute within the hour

Its goanna take mind power.

I don’t know but I been told

All that glitter is not gold

Wisdom is better than silver and gold

So let it stay within your soul, good words

Still go unsaid evil still is not dead so.

Another storm another moaning

Another cop without a waring now

Father and his son brother and

His gun both are furthering the run.

Cops and questions cops questing me

This ant no cool scene

Cops and questions I told you all that I know

I told you all that I scene.

I did not steal any gas

I did not make any pass

I did not break any glass, I stayed in my class.

Things ant always what they seem and,

I know this ant no cool dream

Cops and questions stop pressuring

Cops and questions stop questing

Histories sin can be no friend

To this nation we are living in and,

No matter what we do they will not stay true.

We hope your little black boy knows

They hold the little black boy to be expose,
