My name is Rosalia. I have worked for many years within the social care and the public sector in Oxfordshire, Buckinghamshire, Berkshire and London. I began working in mental health some time ago, and alongside training in alternative therapies including nutrition. I have been passionate about food and healthy eating for most of my life. Coming from an Italian family I love cooking healthy tasty food that makes you feel good. I am a huge advocate to health and wellbeing, meaning that nutrition is so important as well as learning to live a healthier lifestyle through the way we live our lives. I had a few articles published four years ago and this is my second cook book to be created.

    This Wellbeing Thing

    I have worked in wellbeing for many years. In different services that have included substance misuse, mental health, autism and learning disabilities. I was part of start-up which involved researching sugar and looking at how it works and how it affects the body. Sugar is bad for us physically and mentally if eaten in large quantities.

    The link I began to find was that if we ate foods that support our mental health, we are half way to being well again. I think that we are lucky to have such a wealth of knowledge at our fingertips, but for some it is hard to differentiate that eating certain foods can do something positive to our mental and physical wellbeing. We sometimes need that little bit of help and to be able to source a place where there is a whole array of recipes and nutrient ideas that can give us the help we need.
