INTRODUCTION

This is a real story of healing and restoration from a rare form of cancer that the Living God performed in an ordinary Christian family. This woman faced incurable disease, and despite a doctor’s prognosis, she decided to trust in God’s promises, His Word, and His love.

This story was written to encourage those who are in the middle of the biggest fire, in front of the highest mountain in their lives, who want to be equipped for future battles, and who want to understand and support their loved ones. I want to encourage those who are frustrated, lost, crying, and waiting for an answer to a prayer about a critical situation in life.

This is a story for God’s children who worship the Lord, love Him, adore Him, seek Him through their tears daily, and ask Him to respond.

What is it?

Why did this happen to me?

What did I do wrong?

Where are You, my Lord?

When will You answer me and heal me?

This is a story about the faithfulness and love of the one and only Living God. He is always with you—no matter what country you live in, your gender, your age, your income, your education, your marriage status, or your popularity.

Only the Living God will lead you to your victory. Through the fire, He will make you stronger for His kingdom.

The apostle Peter talked about the trials of faith:

Beloved, think it not strange concerning the fiery trial which is to try you, as though some strange thing happened unto you: But rejoice. (1 Peter 4:12–13 KJV)

As my husband and I were praying, I asked God to give us support in the middle of our needs. After praying, we were just waiting for God’s answer in silence. At that time, I was very upset in my heart that we had so many needs.

Suddenly, after our prayer, the Holy Spirit said very optimistically and joyfully to me, Do you see how many fruits you have?

I said in my heavy heart, Really, are these fruits? I meant many needs that I was praying about.

And the Holy Spirit answered me, Look at your apple tree. Could you eat these small green apples now when their sized like cherries? The Holy Spirit pointed out the apple tree in our backyard in the early spring season, and they were only the size of cherries. But when these apples ripen, they will feed many.

His answer led me to seek a divine purpose for my faith. I recognized the trial as an opportunity for a miracle in my life. When I am going through the deepest valleys in my life, God reveals Himself more significantly than before. He is giving me an opportunity to know Him better and be closer to Him than ever before.

They will be like a tree planted by the water that sends out its roots by the stream. It does not fear when heat comes; its leaves are always green. It has no worries in a year of drought and never fails to bear fruit. (Jeremiah 17:8 NIV)

I wrote the healing words from the scriptures in the Bible on sticky notes and placed them on my kitchen cabinet doors to remind me of His promises for my life. Every time I was in my kitchen, I read them loudly several times. Each time, my voice became stronger and more confident when I claimed God’s promises from the Holy Bible:

But the God of all grace, who hath called us unto his eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after that ye have suffered a while, make you perfect, stablish, strengthen, settle you. (1 Peter 5:10 KJV)

These sticky notes became worn down since I was using them quite a lot, and I changed some of them depending on my prayers, needs, and emotional condition. These words were like life and like oxygen to me every day. I ignored any comments about my kitchen cabinet doors not looking tidy, but most of my family members understood it. I simply could not survive without these promises. These promises brought my thoughts and emotions back to life—in proper order—and adjusted according to the words in the Bible:

The words that I speak you they are Spirit and they are Life. (John 6:63 KJV)

This promise has always worked for me, and it will work for you.

I have good news for you if:

• you have been suddenly diagnosed with a rare form of cancer or another deadly disease

• the doctors do not give you much hope because of your condition or simply do not know how to treat you

• you are suffering from anxiety

• you are alone in the fight for your life and Satan is attacking you by whispering to you about committing suicide.

All things are possible to him that believeth. (Mark 9:23 KJV)

My family and I have been there, and you are holding the right book. Turn to the next page, and this story will lead you in the first steps toward victory with the Lord. David found this victory in his teenage years over Goliath. He was not as mature or as strong as his brothers. You will find the same victory because God never changes His Word.

He sent His Word and healed them and delivered them from the grave. (Psalm 107:20 NIV)
