About this ebook

The Monk lives a simple life high atop a cold and distant mountain and deep within a cave. He’s a serious sort, though peaceful. Yet he realizes that somehow he’s grown listless. One day, his serene life is disrupted by an exotic and fiery dragon who alights upon the stoop of his cave.
The Dragon is darkly beautiful, all smelling of flint and ash. She bears many a scar from the ceaseless attacks upon her out in the world. She is angry and bitter and looking for a safe place to rest. The two begin a loving, yet tumultuous, relationship.
The Monk and the Dragon is a fable. It’s based on authors John and Eveline’s true love story. Aided by charming wood cut prints, this book portrays the heart of how they met, found bliss, and then became troubled. It embodies a metaphor they developed through their writings to each other that helped them find their way back together.
