Karma is a Sanskrit voice that means ACTION or ACTION DONE, it is a fundamental law that rules the successive incarnations of a person, conditioning the events and circumstances that affect him in his life according to the accumulated actions, be Positive or negative that he performed in previous lives, these actions contribute to creating what is called KARMA OF A CURRENT INDIVIDUAL OR TASKS ASSIGNED IN THIS LIFE. The KARMA concept is considered as the CAUSE-EFFECT law applied to human life, which means, that what we are is determined by what we were, what we will be is determined by what we are today, Buddhism defines that pleasure and pain derive from our past acts, if acted well, these will go well, if acted wrong, all will go wrong. Belief in KARMA dates back to UPANISAD, it is accepted by all Hindus, although they differ in many points, some aspire to accumulate GOOD KARMA, and good rebirth, and others, considering that all KARMA is bad, try to free it from the process of rebirths (Samsara), some believe that karma establishes everything that happens to the human being, while others attribute a more important role to destiny, divine intervention or human effort.

Nothing is detached in this Universe, in truth, there is no effect without cause, nor cause without effect. So also, within each of us there are forces and atoms that correlate, either with the Celestial spheres, or with the infernal spheres. (Samael Aun Weor).

It is man and nobody but man, the Architect of his own destiny, this can be happy or catastrophic, it all depends on his works.

Karma manifests itself in three aspects: SANCHITA, is the sum of the acts committed in the previous incarnations; PRARABDA, are the acts of the current incarnation, which are subject to the influence of the previous life and the exercise of free will in this life; and AGAMI, are future acts, not yet performed. Thus, the progress of the soul from one incarnation to another is conditioned by the mixture of free will.

    KARMA AND DESTINY.

Hinduism believes that if our actions are not elevated or good enough, we will not only pay the consequences in another life but instead of EVOLVING, we stagnate and return within the spiritual path, in some circumstances, this manifests itself in lower rebirth of the living being.

According to Buddhism we all generate KARMA with thought, word or action. It is a natural law that does not need the intervention of a superior being or Divine Intervention to impose it. In this sense, KARMA IS NOT A PUNISHMENT, nor can it intervene with our next life. Each individual has the power and responsibility to shape their present or future life according to their actions, and can change the Karmic process at any time.

Buddhism places more emphasis on the intention of the action than on the action itself.

We define KARMA as UNIVERSAL MEDICINE that we need for our own good, which is applied in its proper measure and proportion. But unfortunately ignorance blasphemes the law, thereby increasing pain, knowing the modus operandi of the law, it is possible not only to pay or cancel KARMA but also to stop creating it, THE IGNORANCE OF THE LAW DOES NOT EXCLUDE US FROM HIS COMPLIANCE.

THE KARMA CAN BE FORGIVEN, it can be negotiated, because the two main columns of the law, THE JAKIM-BOAZ of MASONRY, are JUSTICE AND MERCY.

JUSTICE WITHOUT MERCY IS TYRANY AND MERCY WITHOUT JUSTICE IS COMPLACENCY OR TOLERANCE

If Karma were not negotiable, divine mercy would be inconceivable.

This great law tells us that all the phenomena, events and circumstances of our life are subject to endless repetition, making clarifications about Karma, we must resort to the teachings of the BUDDHA, who as a distinguished Master of the White Brotherhood, was one of those that deepened the most in human knowledge and KARMA.

He mentions in his sections that those who do not have friends, were YEALOUSY in previous lives, other petty are reborn lower states of suffering, but if they are reborn as humans they would be in absolute poverty, the opposite happens with those who are generous or detached from material things, these will be rich, understanding that the more you give, the more you receive, IF YOU WANT TO BE RICH JUST GIVE.

For all above we can deduce that some beings are born in very favorable conditions and others in unfortunate circumstances.

There are very proud beings who despise others having little respect for others, when they are reborn they go to planes of lower consciousness, but if they are reborn as humans they are born in really unfavorable circumstances, and those who are humble and respectful are allowed to be reborn as DEVAS, or if on the contrary, they take on a human body, living conditions will be very favorable to them.

Beings who despise knowledge and do not wish to investigate or ask questions especially in relation to the HIDDEN KNOWLEDGE and why of life and things, and without the knowledge of what is correct and right conduct, do improper things causing with these Actions that are reborn on much lower planes of consciousness or as humans would be STUPID, if, on the contrary, those who love KNOWLEDGE will be born very intelligent, if you want to be born intelligent, do not hesitate to investigate, especially related to human existence.

The BUDDHA says that with our current behavior we can infer in our past lives, changing the course of existence, since we would earn the right to AWAKEN, by the effort to obtain a HIGHER OCTAVE in our existence.

When asked what the KARMA is, the BUDDHA replied:

IS THE VOLITION, what I call KARMA (or KAMMA), and in a popular sense the KARMA IS ACTION OR DOING, the human being is the owner of his actions which cause consequences or reactions, therefore only THE KARMA is his property and no more. When one does something it is the VOLITION first to action and that will or mental effort is what we call KARMA, first one wishes, then he acts with the body, the words and the mind, in whatever one does there is some kind of KARMA, mental effort, will, volition. Volition is one of the fifty-two mental factors that arise along with CONSCIOUSNESS. As when one makes an offering to a SUPERIOR BEING, there is VOLITION that induces us to GIVE and this VOLITION is the cause and not the effect. Some say that KARMA is the cause, the actions and also the effect, but in BUDDHISM, KARMA means only the CAUSE.

Karma corresponds to the mental states, there are five aggregates: MATERIALITY, SENSATION, PERCEPTION, MENTAL FORMATIONS AND CONSCIOUSNESS. THE VOLITION corresponds to the aggregate of the mental formations, this aggregate is mental and, like the other aggregates, lasts only a moment, arises and is maintained for an instant and then disappears, but the VOLITION is different from the mental states because it has the ability to deposit a POTENTIALITY. When it disappears it does not completely, it leaves something, some power or potentiality to give results, when the circumstances are favorable, and these results appear. One performs KARMA here and now, but the results could be experienced in this existence, in the next or in future incarnations.

THE KARMA or VOLICION has the potentiality to give results, and this potentiality has tremendous force, it is not extinguished with the present life, it continues. But we cannot say that KARMA is stored in some part of our organism or consciousness because not everything is permanent and it is continuously changing, KARMA is therefore also non-permanent and due to this it disappears, but it leaves its potentiality in the continuity of living beings, in such a way that when the circumstances are favorable for their results to appear they appear. THE KARMA IS NOT STORED ANYWHERE, BUT WHEN IT DISAPPEARS IT LEAVES THE POTENTIALITY OF GIVING RESULTS.

In the same way it is said that a tree has the potential to bear fruit, at the beginning there are no fruits in this tree, but it will opportunely give them, another example that we can give is that of the SUN, THE MAGNIFYING GLASS AND THE DRY GRASS, when there is sun and we focus the magnifying glass in the dry grass, the circumstances are favorable for the fire to take place, we cannot say that the fire is stored in the dry grass or the sun in the magnifying glass, but when all this comes together, fire is produced, in the same way happens with the results of the KARMA (or KAMMA).

KARMA and its results are not the same thing, Karma does not gradually mature in its results, BUDDHISM teaches that Karma and its results are empty of each other although there is no result without KARMA, the results depend entirely on KARMA, but the results do not exist in the KARMA, nor does it persist in the results. Karma and its results belong to different times, the results have their origin entirely in the Karma carried out in the past and when the circumstances are favorable for their results to appear (such as the sun, straw and magnifying glass), and they appear.

If we react with the right attention to past results, good or bad results will be produced in the future, and depending on the nature of VOLITION, one cannot do anything regarding the fruits of past Karma, but one can react regarding these fruits with the right care we will have good results in the future.

CORRECT ATTENTION ALLOWS US TO PERFORM GOOD KARMA, WHILE INCORRECT ATTENTION WILL PRODUCE BAD KARMA.

Future results will depend exclusively on our present volition or karma. Now NOT ALL IS DUE TO KARMA, although Karma is a Law that governs the entire universe, it is just one of many laws, there are other natural and psychic laws that govern the life of beings, we must distinguish between the results of Past Karma and Present Karma. THE PRESENT KARMA IS NOT THE RESULT OF THE PAST KARMA, the resulting consciousness it is the result of the past Karma, this consciousness does not influence the performance of sane or insane actions, these actions are not the result of the PAST KARMA, rather it is accumulating new Karma in current existence and this will give results in the future.

Being aware of the law of Karma leads to TRANQUILITY, one of the seven factors of ILLUMINATION, and to experience tranquility one must do many things, reflect on Karma as our property is one of them. Sometimes you feel agitated and uneasy because you do not have what you want or you have what you do not want, in this situation reflecting on the KARMA will help you eliminate the turmoil and through it gain peace of mind, because nothing can be done to change the Karma of the past. You must endure what you deserve as a result of past volitions, THE KARMA OF THE PAST.

Reflecting on KARMA is a good way to remove resentment. Sometimes when you practice wishing for the well-being and happiness of all living things, ironically you begin to feel resentment because we must send thoughts of love towards someone who, perhaps, we do not like. One way to remove resentment is by reflecting on KARMA as our property.

Reflecting "I HAVE BEEN REBORN HERE FOR THE SAME REASON OF MY OWN KARMA AND THE OTHER PERSON HAS BEEN REBORN FOR THE
